Mark was the only good lab instructor I ever had. He's got kind of a stick up his rear, but unlike Astrid he was fair and didn't make me feel like a complete fool when I had difficulties (which were often enough).

Mark has an attitude problem. Its hard to like Chem with a snippy lab instructor. Most of us are not pros at chem, HENCE being students, a fact he has yet to realize. He is not a people person at all and being professional is out of the question.

He would much rather be watching hockey than teaching, but if you harass him enough (hang out by his office) he will come out and help. Not the most clear person, expects students to be very comfortable with the material - hard marker...better to take someone else...

I dont know what people are complaining about, but Mark is by far the easiest instructor I've ever had, in terms of sciences. The lab procedures are explained perfectly. Honestly, the he is the reason that I was able to pass CHEM 1154. The only thing to worry about is that many labs are quite lengthy and very hard to complete in the time given

I don't know what his problem is. Loves putting down his students. Expects us to know everything before the lab. Well, your job is a teacher that is suppose to assit us during the lab. Why are you here if you are giving us a bad attitude, and dissing us when we are not getting the stuff. You should be helping us.

Mark is pretty good at what he does. He's willing to mark us simply on what we have done and not concentrate on how we have presented it. He concentrates on logic, observation, and inductive methods in science, and is overall a helpful, fair teacher.
