Comment:
Statistics is a very dry and boring subject, and it doesn't help that his lectures are just as dry and boring in and of themselves. I understood every formula 100% in lab and lectures would actively confuse me, so I skipped the last two months of lectures (still went to lab) and got an A. Just push through this tedious & awful class.

He's an okay lecturer; you have to work to get a good grade in his class, since he rambles off on tangents and doesn't get to teach many examples. Make sure to go to lab, because you really learn the most in there.

He is a nice guy but kinda rambles on about things. When it comes to math I want things straight forward and not so much a lecture. When I asked questions he would tell me to ask the lab teacher. To be honest, I learned nothing in the lecture. All of what I learned was in the lab. DONT MISS LAB.

Professor Tubbs is Amazing. He is a great professor who is there for you and will help you pass. He may have his quirks, his eye problems, but he tries to always be there for the students. He was one of my favorite professors

Very laid back professor as far as attendance and lateness policies. Overall a pretty good professor but at times it can be really hard to pay attention to him - he often over elaborates on things.

The course is exceedingly easy. The tests and coursework are extremely straight forward. He is very tough to pay attention to, though. He knows the stuff and he explains it well but he does not make it interesting.

Lectures are kind of abstract and hard to understand (which is weird considering its math), but he's very friendly and wants his students to succeed. Lectures can easily be skipped, but do NOT skip labs, everything useful is learned in lab. Kind of a bummer that his lectures were so dry and confusing because he's such a nice person.

If you attend class and read the book, this course is easy. Dr. Tubbs is an excellent professor. As far as the reviews saying this class seemed like another language, if you read the material before class, then it wouldn't be.

I think Dr. Tubbs is pretty knowledgeable about statistics. For anyone going into research, know that everything you are learning is very relevant. He is a good teacher. As a Bio major that uses the material all the time, I find this pretty easy. If you are a Psych major and not really good at math, I could see it being somewhat challenging.

Dr.Tubbs is a good professor! He wants everyone to do well and understand the material. He can be boring in lecture, but all homework is pass/fail and from the book. I have received A's on all the tests I would say with very little effort, this is an easy course.

READ THE BOOK. I only came to class on test days and just taught myself through the book and got the highest grade in the class. Read before class and it all makes sense. NOT hard, just read. No formulas to memorize, reviews/quizes are like test. DONT WORRY.

What a bore! If lab is attended, lecture seems optional. Will spend 3 days on something that took 15 minutes in lab! Too many tangents, very sporatic. Ineffective.

Statistics is a ROUGH course! Dr Tubbs tries to explain theory & formulas as best he can, but many of us were lost most of the time. He will help when asked. His tests are brutal!
