Incredibly enthusiastic, knows her stuff but expects students to want to learn. Best teacher I've ever had and with the most fantastically beautiful smile you will ever see ANYWHERE. She is HOT, and she is so bright. You have got to hear her talking about movies and music. Boy, she knows her subject. Just the best thing in education. Take her class

I loved this class. She teaches the history behind the literature. Yes - she asks questions - Students are supposed to answer them. This is COLLEGE, folks. (Awkward five minute pauses? Those were the students fault.) I highly recommend this teacher if you are serious about understanding literature.

If you have to take an Eng. or Am. Lit class, I would AVOID her. She seems like a nice person but it's people like this - boring, bland, monotone, that destroy any interest you might have in lit. Tests are extremely hard, class was very boring/dull. As someone else stated, lots of awkward silences. She expects you to be just as interested as she is

Very boring, fell asleep everyday. Tests are harder then heck and she doesn't give instruction. I read for the classes and still was SOL. She took a good portion of the class asking random questions and making awkward silences, never again.

I usually looked forward to going to class. She's not a bad teacher. Some poeple in my class complained that her tests were too hard, but I did not find that to be the case. I don't think they studied enough; besides, she graded on a curve so the people that stuck with the class walked away with a decent grade.

She's an easy grader, but her lectures will put you to sleep. Oftentimes she actually just reads parts of the assigned reading in class. Very hard to know what to expect of papers and exams, and only 4 chances to earn a good grade. Made an interesting subject boring.

Grades papers and exams easy, especially for an English teacher. She's extremely nice and laid back. Class can be very tedious because it is all lecture and extremely open-ended/vague questions which leads to many awkward 5 minute silences and then she answers her own question. The literature for this period (Beowulf-18th century) is awful.

Intensive class on English lit from Beowulf to the 1700's. Good attendance and actually doing the readings are necessary if you want to succeed in this class.

yes she is vague, but doesn't expect too much so its easy to just let her ramble. I cut class all the time and got A's on the first paper and the midterm. She may be a bit unorganized, but she definitely knows her stuff when it comes to the literature.

She reminds me of Katherine Hepburn, circa 1965-ish, had she been a college English professor. Yeah, she's not a robot. Yeah, she engages the class in discussions rather than preach her views on the material as gospel. I tell you this: those who participate love the class. Slackers do not.

Yeah, four grades for the class, two papers, a mid-term, and a final. I recieved an A on both the first paper and the the mid-term. I missed the final due to personal reasons. She LEAVES the country on vacation the day after the final. I couldnt even turn in paper two. I got an F for the class.

She is vague w/open ended lectures. hard to tell what to expect from her. People skip this class all the time b/c she makes it a bit boring allowing a couple students to ramble. But she is nice and hippyish, I would not take her again. I don't think she knows any students by name/Take MAHAN

Cool lady. Reminded me of a retired hippy. Her instructions and class questions can be vague and hard to follow. Very relaxed class environment, it's all open class discussion. Makes it more fun to learn when the prof is so excited about her subject.
