Wylie was very slow with his lectures, but he always got the point across. Attendance is not required but it is important to be there or you will not pass. Tests are extremely important and if you do not do well, you wont pass. Pretty decent professor, make sure you drink a lot of coffee before each lecture.

He clearly explains all the is expected on the tests and explains the concepts in clear easy to understand way. If you go to class and write down everything on the board, it is an easy class to pass.

Basic lecture class, write down what he writes on the board, listen and itll be a easy pass. Very specific in what he expects you to know for tests, which are given on mondays. Kind of boring guy, but very knowledgeable. Overall good class. You learn a lot if you try. However, if you miss even one lecture it can mess you up for the test.

Comment:
Mark's class was the basic class. If you went to lectures and took the notes he wrote on the board then you'd do pretty well in the class. No need to buy the book. He does do group in class assignments and a group project. The group project was a bit tedious as for you had to read a certain book about economics, not really a joy to read and present

Wylie is like that weird uncle at family reunions that you don't really get but you still invite him every year. He gets the job done. Listen, SHOW UP, take good notes, study the study guide... pass the class. Not hard. He can be pretty boring and his intonation is lacking inspiration but he is concise, knowledgeable, and consistent.

Easiest 4.0 I have ever received. His class is dry and lecture heavy but if you take good notes and study them you'll ace the tests. Tests are word for word from the lectures. Minimal homework & plenty of extra credit available. Biggest downfalls are he takes weeks to return tests and he doesn't return any turned in assignments. Overall an easy A

He is a very different guy. Hes very plain and really lecture heavy. He is nice about extra credit and drops your lowest test score so he tries to help you pass. The work isn't to bad but the material on the test sometimes isn't anything we talked about. Just don't miss class.

If you've taken from him before you know what to expect. If not you'll probably be lost. Economic model concepts explained well in a live classroom are left for you to decipher from the textbook. Readsmart assignments are a pain in the ass. There is plenty of extra credit though. Do the work, study what's on the study guide and you'll be ok.

If you take good notes in class from his lectures you will have everything you need to pass the class. Unfortunately uses the textbook company's website for homework assignments. I only ever had to crack the textbook open for one question on a homework assignment. Take 202 then 201 immediately after to amortize the textbook/online cost.

I took this online in the summer. Econ is not the simplest subject but the Learnsmart can help, the problem is he assigns to much of that and homework. I also have no idea what my grade is until after the class is over. I like to be updated on that. I took this class at the same time as 201 and its manageable but not easy.

Very good instructor. Can often get side tracked. Don't expect any sort of relationship with him, he shows up to teach not to get to know you. His test are on the harder side but there is usually a bonus question for extra credit. Attendance is the key to strong grades in his courses.

I highly recommend taking Wylie if you know nothing about economics going into the class. He goes very slow with lectures, which you will appreciate it later on because he explains everything and makes it easier to understand. 3 exams all quarter with a final at the end. Gives a study guide for each exam. Wylie is an awesome professor!

Me. Wylie was a great teacher. He kind of has a goofy voice but that's okay. He gives 4 tests the whol semester and the worst score gets dropped. He always gives a study guide for the tests and his lectures are always very educational.

Mark isn't the most approachable, friendly type of guy, but he is an awesome professor. He talks slowly and he is very clear on what he wants. I knew nothing about econ going into the course and I still was successful and learned a lot. His lectures sometimes felt long but I would recommend him if you don't have much experience with econ

Wylies class was ridiculous. You didnt have to show up, and could get the notes from other students. However even if you took perfect word for word notes, you barely passed the test. He is terrible with examples, and not very helpful.
