Comment:

He is a tough grader and will easily mark you off for minor mistakes. It's a lot of busy work for being a CISC class and it shouldn't be. Please keep in mind that he has the tendency to be disrespectful and verbally abuse/yell at students. Teaching is not for him, save your time and money, and take another professor

Summer 2019 - HW every other week, discussion & quizzes weekly. 4 exams (best out of 3 towards grade). Quizzes can be taken multiple times until you get 100%. Hard, slow grader for HW assignments. Easy A if you do work. Lectures were long and off topic. He was out of country during my course and the assistant answered questions.

Comment:

Straight forward online class. Quizzes were allowed multiple times to score 100%. Discussions were simple. Exams were from the same question bank as quizzes. The assignments were graded hard. The lectures are long and he goes off subject sometimes. Extra credit was provided but wasn't needed to get an A. Lots of work.

Geissler is not listed in the spring 2017 class schedule, it really gives students flexibility to choose courses. If he moved it is really lucky and good news to the CRC communities.

Comment:

Markus is not my preference. He has a short temper and an impulse verbal abuse intention. He has a PHD and a MIS degrees and he only can teach or qualifies to teach beginning level of CIS courses that may tell us why he is not happy all the time. Therefore, if he hurts you, you know most likely that is not because of you.

Professor Geissler is a tough grader, but he tells you exactly what he wants. It's not that hard of a class if you do the work. Does lots of random pop quizzes. Overall he is a cool professor, would take this class again.

Easy class as long as you show up to lecture as he does give pop quizzes when people don't show. Exams are easy as long as you take and study the practice exams he has online. He does mark down a lot of points for grammar and spelling mistakes so be careful

This professor just isn't a professor who is easy. Takes points off of little things. Took two whole weeks after the final to finally grade things. Plus he wasn't even there for the physical final itself. His online course is basically just there for you to just learn all by yourself. His lectures were from years ago. So he isn't doing anything.

This professor was so annoying! This class is such an easy subject but he just marks you down for the stupidest things. The assignment criteria is unclear and then he takes off points because you didn't do it exactly the way he envisioned it. It's an online class so it's really hard to know what he wants!

Comment:

Geissler is a really bad professor. I took his online class and it was really bad. He was not available for most of the class and we even had a proctor for our in person final. He is a tough grader as I got marked down a whole grade for putting my last name in the filename. It is not the hardest class but he goes out of his way to make it harder.

Comment:

He is an okay teacher, but he is rather picky on what he wants on homework. Be prepared to read. Final is in between hard and easy, but make sure to study. He is a tough grader as well. He also does offer some extra credit. He thinks of himself as the "Extra Credit King" he is not just to be aware.

Professor Geissler seems like a good teacher and all, but the way he grades is really picky. He doesn't tell you what he really wants from the homework. Since it was an online class. All he had was slideshows. He took forever to get stuff graded as well. Final was hard. Quizzes not so bad.

He is not a bad teacher for an online class. Just get ready to read and use the slideshows to help you study as well. He is quite picky on the assignments, but they are understandable to do. But it's hard to know what he wants since it an online class. Easy quizzes and assignments. Final was in a way hard as well. But overall not a bad class.

The teacher is unclear about the assignments and takes a long time to answer back to your emails. Don't take his class unless noooo one else is teaching it. It's only a one unit class, but he makes me stress out like it's a three unit class. Please professor, take the time to re-read your instructions to make sure it makes sense.

I have to take this for communications major. I'm in college so I know how to study and use computers but this class is not taught at an 'intro' level. There is no pre-req for this course but the teacher assumes all students have background knowledge. Heavy on the content, workload, get ready to study.

The course is just an introduction course and is easy to most of the class students but his attitude makes the whole class unhappy and unproductive. A good writing skill is very important in his class.

Get ready to love your book and learn a bunch of useful material. This is not an easy class, if you're thinking this is your "I didn't study and got a B " class. You will find out very fast that you're in for some great challenges . He truly values ethics and hard work, very approachable and with great sense of humor. "Good luck, you'll need it"

Comment:

Homework, weekly quizzes based on textbook, few exams (I took it in the summer). Easy exams if you take his practice exams several times because questions are exactly from the practice exams, and let us use one index card of notes front and back. Lets you skip final if you are satisfied with your grade. I got an A. I thought the class was easy.
