Comment:

The online class is broken up into "blocks." There is no down time in between the blocks. One doesn't end by the time the second block is posted so you only have a couple days before 6 things are due again. Essays require unnecessarily extra pages, wouldn't take this class if you just need the credit for your gen eds.

This is a 100 level course that is treated like a 300 level course which is just a slap in the face to students who just need to get their gen eds done. If you are truly interested about going in depth about American politics both present day and past then take it, if your just trying to get your degree then pass.

If you do not have the time to read (minimum like 5 hours a week) do NOT take any classes with her. Your papers rely entirely on the reading and she expects you to know everything in class. She's very nice a as a person but not an ideal professor.

Comment:

Marsha puts on a good front, but do not believe the facade. She has no problem putting students down in class and makes them feel that they shouldn't be in school. She doesn't know how to help students who might struggle or have a learning disability. The biggest issue: she doesn't like to work with anyone whose views do not align with hers.

Marsha is a pretty decent person, but her classes were definitely a bit more challenging than other ones I've taken. Although I've learned a great deal throughout this course, there were a lot of reading assignments, and grades were based on tests, and a policy project. During classes we have discussions which were interesting.

took an online class with her. she was very heavy on the homework,but did have us do some really interesting assignments and i did learn alot. would recommend her if you are ok with lots of work, you will learn a great deal from her.

i hate her.. shes rude... she embarrasses you in the class.. she gives you soo much reading to do that you're behind in every other class.. she expects you to WANT to be there when its a requirement.. don't take a class with her.. she is evil and singles you out

As a person she is great but as a teacher she can be hard to deal with. She has high expectations and is very challenging on tests and assignments. This class is not a class that can just be sailed through. . . A lot of studying is involved. Just get on her good side and read everything, and you will pass.

she trys to help and offers to help, but i didnt like her teaching style. she does know whats shes talking about somtimes but when you dont talk she calls on you and makes you look dumb because you didnt understand something. i didnt like her, i hope you like reading and understand old english because u have to right a paper on the bill of rights.

A very good teacher but leans way to the left. She is extremely biased because she's a flaming liberal. She even said Bill Clinton was the best president we ever had!!! What a joke! Other than her bias she really knows what she's talking about and makes the class interesting.
