I returned to college in Fall 2012, after taking my last class seven years ago. I cannot thank Dr. Scheidt enough for her help and assistance in ACC 2020. To do well in her sections of 2020, you need to read the book and do the homework problems. I googled each chapter that was being tested and did extra problems on top of what in in syllabus.

Comment:

This class was more about busy work than actual learning. Very disappointed in the overall quality of what she had to offer. Personally, I feel that she has lost her effectiveness as a teacher, maybe it's time to retire? Very sweet person, but I wasn't looking for sweetness, I'm looking for a quality education.

Comment:

Dr. Scheidt is one of the nicest and most caring professors I have had during my college career. She truly cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She gives homework that is due every class but it is based on completion which makes it an easy grade. Exams are somewhat difficult but I would certainly recommend her for this course.

Professor Scheidt is such a sweet lady. it is true that she cares a lot about her students success in her class and is willing to go out of her way to help you if you ask. she wants everyone to do well in her class also so she allows you to drop your lowest test grade.

Dr. Scheidt is a great professor. I'm taking her summer class right now, and we are near the end. I can confidently say that she is a very fair, helpful, and qualified instructor. She genuinely cares about students and goes out of her way to help. She is also very kind. One day she came in and gave everyone snickers bars. GOTTA LOVE IT!

Very sweet lady, but I have no idea what she was talking about most of the time. Learned a few new excel tricks. Never did the HW, just read and reread the book. She likes to use a lot of different files and sometimes gets off subject.

Scheidt's class is super easy, as long as you study and try. She gives you the homework to do and goes over every question in class. I have heard from people who took her last semester that she was difficult. She has obviously changed the way she teaches...for the better.

This is by far the worst class I have ever taken. I HAD a 4.0 GPA before taking her class. Her tests are awful. I studied 15 hours for an exam and made a 70. I can't even offer any advice- I have no idea what I did wrong!!

I quickly found that the class meetings were useless and the homework is very time consumng. The information on the test had to be pulled out of the air because I didnt see it in the slides, class notes, or homework. She is VERY boring but if you ask she will help you. The tests are comprised of material from the book. Read the book ALOT. And Pray.

Yes, this class is tough. It may not seem useful while you are sitting there, but the terminology and advanced use of excel and a few other things are extremely helpful. BMGT100 is not sufficient for an accountant and people should take this class more seriously. Lighten up on Dr. Scheidt. Its not a fun class but it is helpful in the long run.

A worked with a group to study for the exam reviewing the questions but mostly the power point slides from the Bagranoff website. I got a high b and quit doing the hmwk early in the class. Dr. Scheidt is very nice and such a wonderful person, however, as a professor, she needs improvement. The class starts off by highlighting two chapters from the book, and then going around the room taking turns answering homework, which can't be made up for anything. Please do hw, or u will regret it. Tests are very difficult and material sucks!

She is not a good teacher. Way too much information, way too much homework. Most assignments took hours to complete, with alot of answers not even found in the 5 books she made us buy!!! she is all over the place, very disorganized. but since she's the only person to teach this course, you're screwed...Good luck!

Liked her for 305, hated her for 408. No real problems in 408, so lecture notes. Very unorganized method of teaching. Liked her personally, but couldn't stand her during 408. Took it a semester ago and the tests were very difficult. Friend said this semester tests were much easier, but HW was 2-3 hours per assignment. Not worth doing.
