Comment:

Most of the negative ratings on here are from incompetent future engineers who are used to being babied. Doing lot's of reading outside class is a must. This series is not like all the other mush classes. You will not be spoon fed all of the answers to the tests in class but you will be given the material needed to understand the concepts to apply.

she is a cool person, but a horrible professor. she gives four tests all semester and she grades very harshly. she drops your lowest test, and averages your third lowest. in my 45 class, almost everyone got an A. currently in my 46 class it is way harder and not many people are passing

Comment:

I highly recommend taking physics with her. Once transferring and seeing mathematics and chemistry majors struggle through physics and communicating with physics teachers at my current university, I am thankful for taking her courses. Furthermore, exams were applications of homework exercises. Most importantly, she cares about her students.

She knows the material really well, but she's really inefficient. She goes off on 10 minute long tangents, and spends *literally* half the class going over homework, because she is way too thorough. I've been late to my next class several times because the lecture runs 10 minutes late, and she doesn't tell you what the homework is until the end.

If I had another choice, I wouldnt pick her class. I gave her 2 for easiness is because she does not care if Im there or not. However, she's not clear on lecture and homework, she grades tests badly and takes off many point just because I wrote 8 lb instead of 8.0 lb. I have done all the works perfectly and clearly but she only gives me 87%, 89%.

Prof. Cheatle was seriously understaffed by teaching every physics class on campus, but somehow gets exams back really quickly. Going into the final no one had their homework or an idea of their grade but she does offer extra credit. She does go off on rather time consuming rants but she is an understanding professor if you show up and do your hw.

The material is simple. Ms. Cheatle is confusing. She consistently has trouble with simple problems when working them on the board. She's extremely disorganized. She eats crackers and other loud foods during EXAMS!!! What self-respecting and respectful professor does that? Book use-5- only because she doesn't teach. You'll need to do it on your own

she is nice average professor, she curves, easy B, I got an A if you go to class and study/memorize the sample tests. As far as learning physics she is not good at delivering the message. If you just need physics as a pre req take her, if its you major avoid her...very slow grader you will get exam 3 and the final back to back, she falls behind

Do not take this professor unless you have vast previous knowledge of physics. She assumes that a student knows it all. Gives out poorly written handouts and lectures are useless for doing homework problems. Does not cover all of the homework problems and she posts the answers, but what good is the answer if a student does not understand the concep

Be prepared to teach yourself. Lectures far in advance to the actual homework assignments. Gives handouts that are difficult to understand and that vaguely touch the subject. If you don't have previous knowledge of physics, then don't take this class or you will be completely lost and you will not score well on the tests.

I'd rather skip the class and watch a baby rabbit eating a leftover banana outside of the classroom than be in the class wasting time listening to her lecture.. She just goes out of the topic way too often that will frustrate the __ out of you. I should've realized it on first day of class when she was counseling everyone's educational plans..

One of the worst professors at Chaffey, and I hope she reads this so she can fix her ways. So disorganized that you feel overwhelmed in the class. My best advice? Tell her you're vegan and volunteer at the animal shelter everyday. She'll probably give you an A+.

UNORGANIZED!! Sometimes very disrespectful. Plays favorites. Test not hard. It's based on the study guide. but I learned nothing. She doesn't care if most people in class understands the material or not, as long as her favorites get it. But you don't have choice. She's the only one teaching it.

if ur math inclined easy A. hmwk everyday :( dont stress hard ones cuz she do them next day in class..easily sidetracked..DO THE PRACTICE EXAMS, 90+% is on exam..very caring teaching..always willing to help or work w/ you..ask questions if you don't understand she'll go over it w/ you again and again. book is only for hmwk. little note taking.

Her class is very easy, but very boring. She goes over her own notes that she passes out. The tests and final R extremely easy as long as U do the study guide. She is very helpful & even gives U her own personal #. There R S.I. & Math Success Center to help you out. Do the HW & review notes. 3 easy extra credit assign that worth a lot of points!

I enjoyed this class. I was a high school student taking this phys5 and found her lectures easy to understand. I'm no AP kid, I just needed credit to graduate and found this class to be an easy A. She remembered my name even though her lecture classes ranged in the hundreds. When your lost, just ask for help, and show for class. Labs were easy too.

She does not go step by step and confuses a lot of students. You will have to spend a lot of time with the SI leader and form a study group. She gives extra credit which is great! her test are easy but you really really need to study for this class.

Honestly, she was the best math professor I have ever had. She was always willing to go over the problems several times until everyone understood. Extremely helpful and very lenient.
