I really loved her class! She is a very hard grader but as long as you ask questions and do the work you'll be fine. At times her directions can be a bit unclear but as long as you ask questions when you're unsure of something you should be good. Do the bonus assignments!!!

This was Black Women's History and I over-read all the comments about how funny she is and missed how HARD she grades! there are no tests, just really long assignments, she treats this like a graduate course, and often says so. By the end of the class I was bored, and hated going (what's the point - there are no test) she counts that against you.

Her class is awesome! She is really funny, and the topics she covers in class are really interesting. Her teaching style actually makes you learn something. I looked forward to going to class every day. Print out the powerpoints, and do the easy extra credit for points added onto your FINAL grade, even if you think you won't need it!

She is a extremely liberal person. Her views however are somewhat interesting in regards to how America is(she is from England). Her tests are fairly difficult, and she grades tough. However if you come to class and do the extra credit(which there is a ton of) you should do well. Also who cannot mention her sense of humor? She is hilarious!

She is a very outspoken liberal & there were times I wanted to tell her if she wasn't happy here then go back to where she came from. But I loved her class. It was very easy & interesting. Sometimes its good to hear other people's opinions because then you understand why you believe what you do. If you go to class & take notes you'll make an A.

Very liberal. Goes on and on about her political views. Class is basically all memeorization yets she is very critical on her tests and papers. Fairly easy class. Lots of extra credit, but she takes attendance :( I guess if you have to have this class it isn't so bad, but I would take another class if I had a choice.

This class was awesome. Shes very funny and is very smart. You can write out your essay answers before the test and then rewrite them. Just alot of memorization. U can also be exempt from the final. Great class.

She is a great teacher, but listen close to her due to the accent. Makes class fun. Her tests are easy because you know what to expect on the tests. You will have to write essays on the test and identify several topics. The tests are not multiple choice.

She attempts to make Afro American History interesting to all that take the class. However, her playing "Devil's Advocate" often gets on your nerves, especially when you want to hear her opinion. Overall, she's a good professor who knows her information quite well.

Easy class but full of inform, alot of writing, must attend class b/c she grades attendance. The short papers are the class, so write well b/c she grades like she got her Ph.D is English. All the info given is very beneficial but unnecessary in the long run b/c u will likely be exempt from final.
