Comment:

You can pass her class with a A or B but you HAVE to go to EVERY CLASS and be on time! Or you literally have no chance. She follows the syllabus EXACTLY and gives no 2nd chances. Shes a tough grader. I am a really hard working student and it was difficultttt for me to come out of the class with a B. Shes sweet but you have to be willing to work.

She is a great professor! Overall I am not a fan of the course itself, but it was a great learning experience. Exams are extremely hard, "wow you're the first person in 15 years to make a 100 on my exam" she said one class. A fine option if you need a class but maybe look for other options first.

Comment:

White was my favorite professor this semester! She loves what she teaches and it really translates to her lectures. There is homework due every class but she only takes up six at random throughout the semester, but other than that the workload isn't too heavy. You get extra credit for attendance which she takes every day. Would take again!!!

I did not like this professor. she collects papers at random throughout the semester on every day of class. meaning you just do the paper every day in fear that she might pick it up.

Her grading scale is only 100 points between all assignments, tests, and homework assignments (ARAs) that she only collects at random, and 10 points for attendance. If you miss a class, a whole point is docked from your grade. I requested one excused absence to go out of town and she refused. This class mightve been less painful if it wasnt at 8

She's such a sweetheart! She really cares about what she's teaching and it shows in her lectures. There's daily assignments (ARA's) that are collected at random, so attendance is mandatory in order to turn these in. I liked the way the class was structured (4 tests, 6 ARA's, attendance points, and some extra credit opportunities).

She's really passionate about what she teaches, so lectures are interesting. There's homework every day you come into class so attendance is mandatory. However, she only takes up 6 so you don't know which day she collects assignments. Tests are a little hard but everything comes from the book and her powerpts. Extra credit. Overall, great teacher.

Dr. White is the best professor I have ever had. She is more excited and interested in her work than anyone I've ever met. She made it a goal to learn all 80 student's names in my class and was successful. You cannot skip class because she randomly collects assignments throughout the semester. Her lectures are amazing and I will genuinely miss her.

You MUST come to class to pass. Assignments are taken up randomly for grades, and attendance is required for credit. Tests are extremely difficult, but is usually covered over in her power points. Study and be sure you are understanding and comprehending material. If not, go to her office hours she's always willing to help.

Dr. White is really passionate about what she teaches so that makes her lectures very interesting. She genuinely is interested in your ideas and opinions so that makes the class nice. You cannot skip class if you want to pass. Her tests are both equally lecture heavy and textbook heavy so be ready to read the book and show up to class.

Dr. White is highly respected at UTC. You must go to class and buy the book. She randomly collects daily assignments. Her lectures may be dull, but it is necessary to go, listen actively, and participate in class. She stresses the test questions in her lecture. Stay on the ball and get the homework assignment points and attendance points.

I am taking Dr. White this semester and her love for History is awesome! She is a great professor and when the class is involved, it makes it a lot more interesting. Be prepared to read the book though. There is a lot of valuable info in there that you'll need for class. Overall though, one of the better teachers on campus!

She is an amazing professor. She is incredibly friendly, and gets to know her students by name. I enjoyed going to her class each day. Her tests are tough, but you should do fine if you put the work into it.

She is the best actual teacher I've had but her tests are way too hard. They are essays and you must write EXACTLY what she said during lecture to get it right so take good notes. Don't ever miss class. The tests are 100% lecture material so no need for the text. She is super nice and interesting but I wouldn't take this class for an easy A.

I couldn't say enough good things about Dr. White. She is obsessed with history which made me really enjoy the class. You definitely don't need the book. Her lectures are easy to follow and no matter how big the class is, she will try to remember your name. She rocks. Best history teacher on campus.

She is a great lecturer, but she gives a lot of material that is not on the test. There are no assignments. There just three test, and if you miss class there is no way to know what you need for the test unless you get someones notes.I really enjoyed the class, but it is my major. For those not very interested in History choose another class.
