Comment:
There are a lot of readings outside of the course, be expected to read them prior to class beginning. There are four pop quizzes throughout the semester, which are open note/open book. He is lecture heavy and tends to talk fast at times, making it difficult to take notes on his slides. He is very intelligent and it shows.

Comment:
This general education requirement class was absolutely terrible. The professor can be a jerk sometimes and his tests are among the worst in difficulty that I have ever taken. No student in my class was a literature major yet, the tests were set up like we were supposed to be a professional at memorizing every tiny detail in literature.

Dr. Bibby is not an easy professor, but he is extremely intellegent and a capable teacher. If you need help, he is accessible. Serious students will learn much and benifit greatly from taking his classes.

Worst professor i have ever had! totally destroys confidence, and i agree the man is obviously extremely intelligent but for reasons unknown to me i feel that his method of delivering information is severely flawed.

Dr. Bibby was definitely one of the most challenging professors I've had, but he was also very helpful and accessible to me. He told me that if I would allow him, he would "teach me how to write." I ended up with an 'A' in the course. I plan to take him again for some of the literature classes I need. He's not the easiest prof in the department, but if you genuinely want to learn, he's a good professor.

Seriously, one of the worst professors in history. The man is maniacally obsessed with the Vietnam War, and expects his Intro Freshman students to share his insanity. Also, his peer grading system is an utter joke.

This was one of the worst courses I have ever had at Shippensburg University. Surely, he is brilliant, but why bother if you cant communicate or share that intellect with all? He destroys self-confidence; especially for students with learning deficits

One of the most challenging professors ever, but his classes are worth it. You will improve and learn more than you ever thought possible.
