GREAT TEACHER! Extremely nice and helpful. Class very low maintence. Have to write a lot of two page papers but all super easy topics. His goal was to make the class fun and easy going instead of hardwork work work. His way of keeping it interesting so we actually pay attention and learn something. Definetly recommend.

MR. CROSS IS A GREAT TEACHER. I'M LUCKY TO HAVE HAD HIM. HE WILL BE RETIRING AUG. 1, 2010.HE IS VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT POETY AND WANT TO GET THROUGH ALL THE "OTHER STUFF" TO GET ONTO POETRY.I THINK THAT HE DOES GRATE A LITT HARSH,BUT BY ATTENDING AND DOING ALL EXTRA CREDIT AND FUN STUFF,I MADE AN EASY A.HE'S FUN, ENJOYABLE, MELLOW AND NICE.

Mr. Cross is a fantastic Professor. His class is not easy by any means, but he explains very clearly what is expected and he gives you every opportunity to ask questions. He is very knowledgable and attentive. You can tell that he has a passion for his work, and he actually makes the subject matter enjoyable. We need more professors like Mr. Cross.

Mr. Cross is NOT a hard teacher. He gives ALL the information needed in class for your 4 or 5 papers which make the bulk of your grade. One simply needs to listen. Though he can be boring, consider the subject. Best advice: USE THE WRITING CENTER & START YOUR NEXT PAPER BEFORE THE ONE YOU ARE WORKING ON IS DUE!! Class NOT for LAZY People!

A little on the boring side. Lots of little qizzes which can hurt if you don't do the reading. Graded harsh on papers- 60 points off for a misused semi colon.

Like the teacher. Very relaxed and easy going. Helpful. Do your work and turn in on time, read you stories, and you will do good in the class. He gives you a few days that are optional and gives bonus points to help if you have to turn an assignment in late. I enjoyed the class. He could work on his hand writing. Can't read what he writes.

Did not like this teacher or his teaching methods. Stickler for impeccable grammar and punctuation. Didn't learn anything from him except to not use "to be" verbs. Final was hard and the highest grade was a high "C". Not recommended.

Psh... One of the easiest classes I have ever taken. This man makes failing almost impossible, ie I got a "D" on his final and still got a "B" for the class. He gives you a few days where you don't have to even come to class and he explains everything EXTREMELY thouroughly.

at first i dreaded taking this class but Mr. Cross made you understand what literature and poetry was about. not mcuh homework but first test was comprehensive. He grades pretty tough but fair with extra credit. i left this class liking poetry. take him he's good.

The quizes are generally easy and he offers several extra credit opportunities. Grading on assigned papers is tougher, but he always gives hand-outs ahead of time explaining what he wants. Also, he usually talks all hour and has a very monotone voice so be prepared for boredom.

I loved this class. I was not good at English in High School and had a very easy Comp I professor. I was worried about this class, but Mr. Cross is an awesome teacher and wants students to learn. He is very helpful and understanding. I definitely recommend taking his class!

I failed lit the first time with a dif teacher, and took it again but with Cross this time and made an A, he is by far the BEST teacher you can get, you MUST take him, it is well worht the drive to metro campus. take him if you want an easy A and a fun class

Mr.Cross is an Excellent Comp II teacher. He is very helpful and he loves teaching literature. Just do the work that is assigned, show up for class and he grades very lenient on papers, so a good grade isn't that hard to obtain in his class.
