By far my favorate teacher ever. He is so easy to listen to and learning is truly fun with him. I learned more with him in one class than I do with other teachers all semester. The work takes effort but is intresting and keeps you involved. I have taken a number of classes with him and I recomend him to everyone

Class not mandatory after first few weeks of class but you obviously miss material. Interesting guy/stories/class activities. Lax, comfortable demeanor. Mild note-taking required. Not too heavy. 1 group assignment final. Overall deserves more than middle of the road rating. 4/5 in my book.

i love mike :) He is such an amazing guy. Although his lectures can get a tad boring, I still love his class. I took it at night and still wanted to go he was that good and it was my favorite class. It is a very easy A and he is extremely flexible with grading...and he definitely knows his stuff...love him!

Disregard the previous comment. The Echo Times is a student run newspaper, it is the duty of Prof Dougan to make deadlines and enforce them when grading time comes. It is up to editors to make sure the students are on time and given instruction on stories. The person below probably was a slacker, I really enjoyed working for the paper!!

Mike Dougan is my hero. He is not just a teacher, he is an entertainer. I would have paid more money to sit in his classes. I have taken every class he offers and I am more and more impressed with his passion and skill. He loves class discussion and is not difficult if you participate and do your work. I love Mike Dougan!

This guy knows his stuff. He comes from a journalism background, is constantly updating his material and wants everyone to be engaged in the class. He wants opinions, not yes-men. No textbook, so good notes are essential. Lots of video clips and some short films.

This class is just INCREDIBLE. This is the first time that I actually looked forward to coming to class. Mr. Dougan is very funny, smart, nice, and professional. This and Counseling 114B are the best classes I've ever taken in my life.

Michael Dougan is a very kind and knowlagable professor, he knows his subject matter and teaches it with ease. He is an excellent writer and knows much about his subjects. He makes sure that each of his students has thier concerns taken care of and goes out of the way to help anyone. Take his classes, you won't regret it! :)
