Comment:

Loved him. He'll challenge you, and frustrate you, but it is because he wants to see you do something different. He's great with one-on-one situations, he'll talk things through with you, ask you questions, and push you to try new things. He's definitely out there, but his class gives you complete freedom- and he's honest in his criticisms.

He's so inspirational and always gives helpful feedback. He challenges and pushes you. He's honest and hilarious yet also insightful and overall an amazing teacher. I'd retake the class just to have him teach me again.

Probably the worst prof I've had at NSCAD. Found him incredibly unhelpful and unorganized. He actually forgot to attend one of our classes because he "lost track of his time". I was bored to tears and almost feel like I got WORSE at drawing

This class was a joke for a 6 credit course. Would not reccommend it to anyone who actually is hoping to learn something. There will be stories galore from him but is horrible as an instructor.

I spent the first half of this class convinced that this guy was a time bending alien, because I refused to believe drawing could be so boring that 4 hours could feel like 12. He put no effort into the class at all, he'd often just place a chair in the middle of the room and leave for an hour. I think I got worse at drawing in his class.

He knows what he's doing but doesn't know how to communicate to the students. Doesn't even remember our names over 3.5 months. And just points out imperfect things in your drawing rather than focusing on your own personal progress.

very easy to get along with but almost to the point where you feel like you're kinda going it alone. lets you do your own thing and entertains with hilarious stories... every now and then he has a gem of insight that applies to you and your work that lets you think a little differently. loveable character. likes to high five :)

This rating card cannot rate Micheal. He is in a different league. He doesn't god it out, he communicates through stories, and trys to get you to look at things with different eyes. If you can't then you probably will say he sucks. But he is an amazing teacher.

He's a jerk. He didn't want to teach the class. There was only one girl he paid any attention to. He asked me to pick my name off the class list at the end so he could mark me. He had no right to mark me at all. He's the worst teacher I have ever had
