for being an online class this was one of the hardest classes ive had. hes an awful professor, lectures are super dull and boring. he gives you a lot of things to work on for his tests; his tests are pretty hard. theyre worded weird and confusing. after having many issues this professor answered 0 of my emails. i would seriously pass on taking him

All readings and lecture videos are required in order to be successful in this class. You must be a good note taker and have a photographic memory in order to be well prepared for his exams. Do not take more than one of his courses per semester because all the exam dates will be on the exact same dates, no exceptions.

This is a very difficult course because of all the online lectures and additional videos and readings. Not to mention the only grades for the course are all exams. You will definitely have to work for it but if you study study study you will pass. Dont sign up thinking you will get an easy A as a lot of people do because its taken as an elective.

He posts a lot of material to go over and make sure you do because it'll all be on the test. Tests aren't easy but they're not super hard either. Drops the lowest test score which helps the grade.

Since I enjoyed the material I found this class really interesting. When you read the assigned chapters and articles, and watch the videos, be sure to take good notes through a program like OneNote. This makes it easier to study and reference during open note tests. Only a few tests which make up your grade. Great prof!

There are only tests in this class. He does not offer but two 1 point extra credit opportunities. Lowest test grade is dropped (but not the final). There are reading and videos per assigned section, and he does pull questions from the videos for the test, so make sure you're ready to read and watch the videos. Make sure to take notes.

I took this as an online summer class and it was the hardest thing I have ever done. There are only 3 tests and a final exam. The tests are 50 questions and timed so be ready to be STRESSED! The professor offers 2 points extra credit to your final grade which can be helpful if you really need it. Do not take this class for an easy grade.

Took him for Social Stratification and the lectures are long boring and dreadful. I would not recommend taking this instructor. I believe there is a way to put all the learning material into concise and efficient ways to teach students.

Definitely time-consuming. There are only 4 exams and the lowest grade gets dropped. There is not ANY classwork and very little extra credit offered (literally only 2 points). He asks questions from the videos he posts, the readings, and questions at the end of the chapters. The final has questions from all of the exams.

4 Exams in this class, no extra credit work or homework. Do Not take this class unless sociology is you major!!!!!!!!!!!! He treats this class like we are all going for our PHD in sociology! All the exams are based on his videos where he talks about his opinion for about 90% of the time and the other 10% are actual facts. Terrible class.

Only 4 exams based on video modules that are long and mundane. He injects his own personal beliefs and in opinions into the videos and expects you to answer test questions about his own beliefs. I took this class to learn real information, not his personal beliefs. I'm ashamed that this professor uses his platform in such an unprofessional way.

This is the hardest Professor I've EVER had and I'm a Junior, gonna pass one class and withdraw from another. Very complicated online classes. Have to devote lots of time and effort to each class, exams are difficult, feels more like a graduate class than undergrad class. Take only if you are very disciplined on online classes. He is difficult.

Took Prof Miller for two online classes and enjoyed them. Consists of three exams and a final; he drops the lowest exam grade. A lot of modules with videos and articles, which can be tedious but not difficult. My only advice is, take good detailed notes (you won't find the answers to the questions online) and you will get a good grade!

This class is an easy A if you read the textbook and simply take notes. I took the online course, so organizing your notes for virtual exams is VERY helpful. Our grade is solely based on exam performance but Miller is open to face-to-face meetings if you're struggling. He drops the lowest exam grade, only complaint is there is A LOT of coursework.

Took this class online. Grades are strictly based on 4 exams (lowest dropped) and the final. His test are NOT on quizlet. He words his test very complex. His video lectures he posts are very very boring, but informative. It would be helpful to create a GroupMe & google doc and do the study guides w/ your classmates.

Professor Miller is very sweet! Took his Intro the Soc online and there was a heavy load of reading and videos to watch. Most of the videos he assigns are roughly 10-15 minutes but some are hours long. Need to make lists of all vocab (alphabetized) for all exams. There's technically only 3 exams aside from the final but he drops one of those exams!

If you are taking a full load of courses I would not recommend. To do well you need to be really invested in learning and retaining the material. Your final grade only comes from 3 tests (lowest of 4 is dropped). This felt like a graduate course instead of undergrad. However, if you have the time, the class is very interesting.

So many videos assigned for each module, and you have to watch the to answer questions on the exams. Didn't really read, but created a document with all the vocabulary to reference during the exam. Exams are the only grades, but overall the class isn't too bad.
