Mr. Wheeler even though he is gone i will never forget his teachings in humanities along with Mrs. Renner. He may have come across as hard but when you think of everything he said it all made sense and changed your way of thinking. I will miss you Mr. Wheeler.

Earned an A in his English 101 Honors course. Assigns daily readings and quizzes; I failed all of them. Grade is based on the written compositions, not the quizzes (only considered if borderline). The class is very easy for everything that we do. Just agree with this old fart & go along with what he says. Cranky & rude to students & to 2nd instructor Renner. I love love love wheeler. at first i was unsure of how i would do because he does not hold your hand through the course. you NEED to do the readings so you can write about them. he allows rewrites. hes available at office hours. hes very sweet and teaches you a lot about LIFE. get to know him so he knows you and you'll get a better grade. LOVED IT!

Awesome professor!!! so much fun! talks about a lot of random things but also says a lot of useful things about schooling and the college experience. Says a lot of jokes and makes class fun. You get to revise all your essays except the term paper. Very helpful and caring. Overall hilarious and helpful man!

Wheeler is an awesome prof. at GCC. He is very inteligent and experienced so he knows what he's talking about, unlike many other professors. Wheeler's assign's are not hard but you have to be his favorite to get an A. He doesn't usually grade based on fair terms, you kinda need to be advanced to get an A. Other than grading, he's a cool teacher

Go ahead, take Wheeler. He is a hardened liberal and that is the topic of most class discussions, but as a conservative, the class was always interesting, educational, and entertaining. You will not learn a thing about English, though. Just keep that in mind.

Wheeler has class favorites: this impacts class discussion, not grading. His closed-book in-class essays are difficult, but they will prepare you for University level work. He is the most understanding college professor I have ever had. He really made my first semester at GCC stress free. I have become a better writer and you get to revise your essays! He is so funny and just awesome. We wrote 3 essays and the final term paper is the only one you can't revise. I guarantee it will be the one class you will enjoy!

Wheeler is by far the worst teacher i have ever had. I knew his whole life story by the end of this class, never goes over the material, any learning you want to do in this class you have to teach yourself. Do not take his class unless you want to be bored out your mind and listen to him talk about everything besides english!
