Prof Huff has a solid grasp on Social Sciences/ money, power & politics. You definitely have to stay on top of your assignments, do a weekly response & respond to 2 others' posts. I learned so much in this class in regards to politics, capitalism, etc. I really enjoyed it and liked the freedom I had to choose the topics I wanted to write about.

You can get away with not going to class, but his lectures are very interesting and super informative. He relates everything back to today. His lectures are mind opening and super relevant. I understand our political climate so much better now, and have a clearer understanding of what is happening in this country. Take him and sit as his lectures!

Online class. I had frequent woes about all the time spent writing for this class instead of studying for BIOSC. He has slightly sporatic grading, like he is grading what you say, not how you say it. I couldn't figure it out. He won't fail you cos he hates you, tho. Be respectful; do the work. I'll probably get a B in this class, an A if I'm lucky.

Online class is only reading and responses to students. Seems like a class run without a professor. He also doesn't respond to emails. He seems like a busy man so all respect due to him but don't take up teaching an online class if you don't have time. Class is focused on wealth/greed and he makes you buy one of his books. Hypocritical? Maybe.

I took his online class, and everything was fairly straightforward. Response to a question prompt based on the week's reading and response to another person's response were done every week, each being 250 words minimum. The essay "mid-terms" can just be an old prompt response you had, just expanded upon. He's a lenient grader, I would recommend him

Only 4 papers, pretty easy grader. He talks SUPER fast the whole lecture so be prepared to take quick notes. He's a real stickler on using Chicago style and usually only takes points off your paper for format mistakes. Really interesting professor and knows what he's talking about.

This class was super easy. I didn't really pay attention and got an A. Books were used once. He takes at least 2 weeks to grade homework, sometimes longer, so don't expect grades to go in very fast. You don't really learn anything about history win this class except for 9/11, which is really more about the conspiracies about 9/11.

Prof. Huff is a great teacher, he does often go off on tangents but you should listen, as they are very informal. If you're just taking for credit, don't. If you want to learn, do! He is understanding and helpful, the essay prompts are easy to follow but if you are having trouble just contact him! Will be taking his class again.

Stupidly easy class, easiest A I've ever gotten. Lectures are very dry and are mostly of him criticizing the government, 9/11, and the military in a VERY negative way. Only took this class because it was a gen-ed requirement. Made us buy his book. but it's cheaper on Amazon than his website.

Huff is very smart and knowledgeable. He is an active worker and advocate against bias news. He does, however, have a very obvious bias which often hinders his undertone during lectures. He encourages talking in class but comments are usually reinterpreted by him under his sensationalism.

I took his class during summer and got an A. Three discussion posts a week which are fairly easy. A critical book review and final essay base on the discussion post approximately 1,000-1,500 words. Everything should be in Chicago style. He grades generously and respond quickly. A lot of readings but overall, easy A.

I don't know how prof Huff is offline but online we had to write 250 word discussion boards and cite using Chicago style... I think that's doing a bit too much. But if you enjoy reading and writing like that, go for it.

If you are a good writer, this will be the easiest class to get an A in. He never takes attendance, there is no homework, no tests or quizzes either. Your grade is determined by 4 essays only. I personally would recommend going to class though. I thought his lectures were awesome and i learned a lot from him.

He is passionate about what he teaches but the other point of view only exists for him to use to refute and prove he's right, rather than exploring why they think that way etc. 3 papers, a group project, and terminology assignment. If you're good at writing and attend lecture, its an easy A. Regardless, he is a good and interesting professor.

no tests. 4 papers. His lectures were agonizing and very boring. I did not pay attention one bit and I got an A. As long as you skim the book for the chapters you write about, you will be fine. Advice: ask him what the essay topics are in advance so you can go to class that day and learn the topic you are writing about.

Prof: I believe he would be a great teacher if I took an offline class with him, but I only saw him twice during office hour and mostly online, so can't really grade him, but from what I have seen of him, very enthusiastic and passionate. Course: do the readings and write prompts on time and you'll do fine!

Grade is fifteen 10 point weekly discussion posts (500+ word total post&reply, easy) and three 50 point essays (1000+ word, also easy). Just write more if you want an A, he grades a bit hard but it's fair. 4 textbooks required, 2 free online and rest <$40 used. Open end prompts and discussion questions make the class not painful. Would take again.

In my opinion he is very underrated and does not get the respect he deserves. He is not a cookie cutter prof he actually speaks to what he believes in and doesn't sugar coat the past 200 years. Not once has he given a positive lecture, which I thoroughly enjoyed. He spoke the truth about what was going on in the world at that time and today.

The papers he has us do only pertain to him and he gives no help as far as where to get evidence from. It seems as if he wants to see us struggle so he can feel better about how brilliant he is for finding out that 9/11 was a sketchy event. Great find, professor. He only cares about his book and whatever he feels like talking about that day.
