She is an awesome professor. She cares and is willing to help. She gives a lot of homework, so you can learn the material. Her lectures are very clear!! Math is my most difficult subject, but with her guidance I passed with a B. I took her for math 35 and 52. Passed both with high B! Everything you due is on a point system! Do homework!

Prof Whelchel (aka Crampton) is the best math instructor I have every had. I have taken her for 3 different math classes and my only which is that she would teach math 11!!

Comment:

Whelchel (now Crampton) was tough when it came to turning in homework and doing test. She cares about her students passing though, and is very honest and vocal if you don't do the assignments. Math is one of my weakest subjects, but after taking her class, I do feel like I understand it better. I plan on taking her class for the next math course.

There was not much homework, so you had to find questions to study on your own, unless you understand after seeing one problem. She responds to all emails super fast and at all hours of the day and night. i enjoyed her energy that she has in her lectures. I would take her again any day.

Great professor even though I took her class two times, she gave me a D the first and she gave me a C the second time. She is clear and expects you to do the homework. Her unique way of teaching is my way of learning so I totally recommend her you Math classes.

Whelchel isn't the easiest professor but if you do ALL of the work, pay attention in her class, ask questions and never miss, you'll do well. She's the only reason I finally grasped algebra, and thanks to her, I not only made it through, I actually learned and retained what she taught me. I would gladly recommend her .. if you're not a slacker.

Worst math teacher ever, don't take her class. Thank God I dropped in time to not receive a W. She acts like if you're not understanding the work right away then there is something wrong with you, when really it is her not being able to explain how she gets her answers. She is so unorganized and is literally ALL OVER THE PLACE.

Great Professor. Has the time and patience, but you have to do the work. The work doesn't do itself. Study. It's an Easy Class and the HELP is there for you. I highly recommend and if she taught MAT52 in the summer I would take it. Great Woman

I took this class during Winter session, so there was no time to mess around. Which was find for this level of math. What I found to be really helpful was her organization skills and ability to see that the class was understanding what was going on. I would take her class in a another level of math again.

She's an amazing professor, but if you're not there to learn she'll ask you to leave. The best part of this class that I found helpful was that she gives worksheet handouts and they helped me so much. We go through it all together in class and it helps me understand the steps. I received a C, but that was because I lagged it on finals. Was my fault

Ms. Whelchel is a good professor but her teaching method doesn't fit my learning style even thought it is Web-enhanced but it is like a hybrid course which means that the homework, quizzes, and exams are online except the final .

I took Prof. Whelchel for both, 65 and 52. She explains concepts from the bottom up with personality and compassion. I highly recommend her to students who have struggled through math in the past. Attend every class, do the homework to prep for tests and you will pass. She offers plenty of help to those who meet her half way. The teacher "gets it."

Professor Whelchel is an outstanding math teacher! I've struggled with math all my life but Whelchel's lectures are clear and helpful which makes learning a difficult subject easier. I plan on taking her again.
