This class was challenging however manageable as long as you came to class and stayed on top of the hw(6) and readings. Theres no specific questions from the reading on exams(3), however book is helpful. Also online quizzes for each chapter. Dr. McAuslan provided great explanations and was willing to answer questions. Shes so sweet & intriguing.

She has messed up on questions in exams multiple times and instead of giving us extra points for it she apologizes and expects you to understand her mistakes She's horrible PRIME example of a professor who makes a relatively easy class into something so specific and difficult. She selfishly rushes through lectures so she's not behind rather helping

This is my first time ever posting a review about a professor. I felt obligated to given that this professor is completely all over the place. She's sweet but a hard grader. emphasized buying the book however I never did and only went by lectures still receiving a 90% on my exams. Don't take her. her main goal was to rush through lectures not help

I took Dr. McAuslan for Interpersonal Psych as its safe to say she made the class more difficult than it needed to be Extremely hard grader She is un-organized and expects you to follow her without explaining. She never had tests ready the lecture before exams yet had study guides posted. Even gave class 2 points on exams due to her making mistakes

Dr. McAuslan is very passionate about Psych and it shows when she lectures. However, the class was made much more difficult than it needed to be: an 8 page film analysis, a 3 page research paper, and a 45 minute group presentation are all due within the span of roughly one month. Exams are tricky, and she is very knit-picky when grading short ans.

Well respected, tough grader on written portions of tests as well as papers, but she is fair. She wants you to succeed and will help in any way she can. Very patient with questions and knowledgeable in the field.

She was a very nice lady, however; she would have very brining lectures, she would also put questions on the exams that were not in the text or in her lectures. The test average always came to a C or C- and she acted like that wasnt even bad. I would not recommend taking a class with her.

Super fun lectures and is very accommodating for her students. She uses real life examples and makes the class easy to understand. Tests are easy for the most part if you studied.

Totally amaze balls. Sends links to online lectures when class can't meet and had to pay tribute multiple times on each one. Gives extra credit. Mentally and visually stimulating in lectures. Has a butter soft voice that invites engagement. Would take her as many times as she'd let me. Helps if you share her views. Keep yours tacit and you get an A

She's really nice and her lectures were interesting, but the tests were on material you wouldn't expect - the book, statistics from studies, and details from lecture. Involves a somewhat lengthy group project, a paper about the project, film analysis, and 3 tests. Gave extra credit, but tough grader.

She is a prime example of a professor who makes a relatively easy class into something so specific and difficult. She's so nit picky when grading the portfolio. I included all the required material and still got a B on the project. She offers 2% ec which helps. Avoid this women, take it with Hymes. That was my mistake. I hope she reads this review

VERY difficult to impress. This was definitely the most work I've ever put into a psychology class. Exams asked for small details from booklectures. Does supply practice quizzes, which are EXTREMELY helpful. Grading for final project not very clear--no rubric, just a short blurb in syllabus. Only somewhat helpful when consulted. Beware...

Her lectures are awesome, but when it comes to grading, wow,if it's not the exact way she would write it, you're losing points. Some things that were on her test were not even in the book or her slides. I would not take another class with her. She thinks that a 'C' is a good grade, lady,a C is one grade away from failing in a University. Got a C-

Dr. McAuslan's class isn't easy, but an A is definitely obtainable. Took online. Focus on power points, but take notes from the book, too. 7 Discussions, 4 Exams and a portfolio assignment. She tells you what she expects, is very helpful if you ask for help, and if you show her you put in effort, she'll be fair. Definitely recommend.

Very interesting class. You will learn a lot and actually be able to use it in your everyday life. I learned a lot about myself. I def recommend her. She's a very sweet lady. 3 exams, 1 group presentation with short paper to go with it and another paper that is 8 pages but easy to do. I would take her again. Study notes and book, mostly the voacb
