Comment:

Prof. Kennedy really knows her stuff and she is excited about teaching it. American Art was lots of work - tons of studying - but she is probably the best lecturer I've ever had. If you need an elective American Art was one of my favorites.

She is amazingly nice, and even pretty funny but she is very strict. She almost expects you to know just as must as she does about art. Even with studying and paying attention in every class I did not do very well.

Kennedy is really a nice lady, and she really knows her stuff..but she expects you to know it all too. she thinks everyone is an art history fanatic, which isnt true. i actually tried in the class and still didnt do well...unless its something youre really interested in, dont take it her. ALSO attendance is big, so plan on going to every class.

I have always been an A student, but this woman made my life a living hell. Unless you are a wizard at Art History, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT take this professor. Terrible experience. Worst of OCC.

A very good professor, very helpful and understanding, she makes Art somewhat interesting to learn about, but on the other hand she can get too critical on writing assignments, and can be little bit harsh with grading.

Very nice lady and with art your answers can never be wrong just participate and say something that is not dumb do all the work and you'll at least get a C I got a C on every paper thus I got a C for the semester and a lot of days I was like a half hour late and she didn't really care Nice lady

Shes a very intelligent woman and expects some in return form her students. Very interesting class but your going to have to read the book. Class participation will affect your grade so try to answer like 1 question per class at least. The reports were a little vague so you might want to get some study buddies work on them with.

I have taken her for Art Hist II and III, and I am taking her for the I class to. She is very helpful and obviously knowledgable in every aspect of her teachings. She is well traveled and well spoken. She is certainly an asset to OCC, and rather easy. All a student need do in her class is participate. Loved her class!

I had no interest in Art History when I went to take her class. All we ever do is sit and listen to her talk about art in historic times as we look at a bunch of pictures. She is really nice and grades fairly. There is rarely homework, and as along as you pay attention in class you will pass. And if you actually listen, it can be very interesting.

She's not as bad as people make her out to be. I thought she was really nice and helpful. I wound up getting an A in her Art History III class and a B+ in her Art History III class. It isn't impossible to get good grades in her class, you just have to work a little harder. She does care a lot about attendance, so make sure you attend class.

I took this class during a 5 week summer session and it was tough. I ended up with a B+, but I had to work hard in order to do that. We had 1 or 2 papers due each week.. each about 4 pages long. She expects a lot from her students and doesn't put up with people cutting her class. GO TO CLASS if you take her.. and you'll be fine.

Worst teacher I have ever had. Worked for over a week on a 1200 word paper, and got a D for not being "specific" enough. Yet I got all the info from my book and notes. Took points off a slide quiz for putting "temple of ramse" in stead of "temple of ramses" after being told spelling doesn't count. She suck, DONT take her.

She is really knowledgeable in both Art History and World History in general. She is more than happy to answer any questions in detail. Extremely positive and very straight forward as well as honest. Kind of tough and intense class for anyone not really interested in pursuing the arts. Recommended if Art History is needed.

THIS TEACHER IS AWFUL!!! Take prof. Kralik for any art history. Kennedy is terrible in every way no matter how much you study or read she is an awful grader and has no personality or interest in her students. Her tests and quizzes are ridiculous and make you feel terrible on any paper you write no matter how hard you worked on it. Do not take her!

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! I have a 3.75 and she brought my ENTIRE average down.I'm an honest student & I did EVERY SINGLE assignment, READ EVERY CHAPTER thoroughly, did EVERY discussion and studied for every test-& still didn't do well. She makes u read the textbk, but her tests aren't even based on material in the book. for your sake, DONT TAKE HER

She's tough. i dont know about any mutiple choice test she gives out. I took her for art history 1 and she tests and quizzes her really tough. you really need to pay attention, read the book, and go to class. her quizzes and tests are like she would show an images and you have write write about them, and im not talking about a couple of paragraphs

The professor was excellent, and made the course extremely interesting, so much that I may take a follow-up course. With art involving a great deal of visual information, slides, video, ect, I felt this professor did a great job in using these things to make the course more understandable. The course could be a little boring at times
