I had Dr. Yang my first semester at OCC. Very nice teacher but won't let you slide if you're absent. We had a assignment every 2 weeks (paper). Each paper would relate to the topic we had been talking about and would be about 550 words. Quizzes were easy if you studied and took notes. Awesome teacher. I would recommend.

Love prog Yang! I took him for Chinese 1, and am taking him next semester for Chin 2. He found a way to add anecdotes about Chinese culture in every class session, and kept classes fun and entertaining. He's a VERY fair grader. We had four tests & a take-home midterm and final. It's a tough subject, but if you STUDY there's no way you'll fail.

I took prof. Yang for remedial English, and he was by far the best prof. I've ever had at OCC. He's very willing to help students who are struggling, and wants all of his students to succeed in this class. If I could take him again I would!

Amazing professor. Not the easiest by far, but a really genuine man. Cares very much so for his students, and will sit in his office on his own time to help you out. I took him for Chinese 1 & 2. Loved it!

i took both Chinese 1 & 2. The language is challenging but the class is easy. all quizes and tests are take-home. Hes a really nice guy & funny and tells interesting stories. everyone signs in for attendance but being absent never seemed to really affect my grade

Great teacher. You can tell he really cares about the students. Tells you what to fix on your papers before you hand them in. MANDATORY class attendance. Gets a little off topic at times but still keeps the class interesting. 9 out of 10 times you leave the labs early. I strongly recommend this guy, so take him if you can.
