He can be a tough grader, though his marking is very fair, and I agreed with his comments on my paper, which helped me do much better on the second paper. His lectures are interesting, and his passion and knowledge of Alberta history is apparent. He's engaging, humorous, and challenges you. Excellent professor.

Not only does he deliver the best lectures, he edited the two books that were assigned. He is not only an engaging speaker, but his introductions are captivating. I would take any course he offered.

I'm taking the same course as the last poster, and I agree with everything said! I've had 2 classes with him now, and enjoyed each thoroughly. He rewards those to go to class, not only with an interesting and engaging experience but also with tidbits for doing well on papers and exams. One of the best profs I've ever had.

Prof Voisey is hilarious. A wonderful lecturer, great voice, really holds your attention and the time flies by. Lectures can move fast if you are taking notes by hand. He really knows AB history and makes it super interesting. Again, really hilarious and great connection with class. Take his classes!

Excellent Prof. I would definitely take more classes with him. One of the best history profs I've had. Need to attend class. Term paper based on historcial fiction, which was eh. Midterm and final very fair.

Had him for my 3 hour seminar class, and he is definitely my favourite prof...possibly of all time. I say this because he has a great sense of humour, and he is incredibly helpful. Not too sure what my mark will be, but it won't affect what I think of him personally. I have definitely learned alot in this class, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Professor Voisey is one of the best professors I've ever had! He was incredibly informative, and I did well on exams just by studying my notes (the textbook was useless). His rapport is great. He obviously knows a lot about the subject matter, but was never arrogant about it. If you listen carefully, he makes use of humour frequently.

Be sure not to miss a lecture; they're far more informative than the text. He's very clear, and managed to make Canadian History interesting. His marking for the term paper was a little hard, and he wasn't very clear in his expectations. Midterm and final were the easiest things I've ever written.

Definitely knows what he's talking about. Extremely interesting lectures that also get the point across as well. Typically will show numerous viewpoints. Willing to help outside of class. Able to use some humour in his teaching. Great History Prof.

Voisey knows his material, and conveys it in a very interesting manner. I felt as though he graded a little harder (in comparison to my other history professors), and his comments and expectations weren't clear. He was reluctant to help anyone during an exam (as in he refuses to answer questions of clarity). Overall, good prof.

Very good prof. Definetly knows his stuff. Make sure attend ALL his lectures because missing one is missing out an entire era of history. Text was useless because it lacked depth. He speaks clearly and his marking style was fair and balanced. Quirky, sarcastic sense of humour. Easy multiple choice tests (study your maps!) but a difficult term paper

I'm not sure I would label him being a sexpot, but I will say he is an amazing professor. Being that my major is History, maybe I find his classes really interesting. But out of all my profs this semester he is definately my favorite. The mid-term was fairly easy, and you'll do fine taking good notes and following his woksheets. He's awesome!

I found this class very interesting. The exams are extremely easy if you ready over the notes and study maps. Make sure to study maps! Don't miss any of his classes because if you do, you will miss out on about 100 years of history per class. very fast paced class.
