She is the worst. She is very sarcastic and boring. She thinks everything is funny and talks about sex a lot. I wouldn't recommend anyone to take her class. It's horrible.

Comment:

Dr. Mitchell is awesome and knows tons about the subject, especially if the subject is insects. ;) The material she covers isn't really that difficult, but there's A LOT of it. She also moves very quickly during her lectures, but is more than happy to stop and answer any of your questions. Overall, I'd recommend any of her classes. I've taken two.

She is a phenomenal professor. She's extremely knowledgeable on the material and anything you ask that she doesn't know, she always makes a point to find the answer. I took Insect Field Studies with her over maymester and it is one of the most fun classes you'll take in your college career. You'll take a lot of notes but it prepares you for exams.

This is the third time I have had Mitchell and she never disappoints. Knows the subject very well and is very interested in it. Lectures are interesting and organized and tests are graded fairly. I would recommend!

I took Dr. Mitchell for zoology, so I thought that she would be a great choice for Biology 300. I didn't know this before signing up for this class, but she used to be an editor. This class was very hard! She will always find mistakes in your papers. I would not recommend taking her class if you are not willing to work hard for your grade.

Class is hard as mess but she does her best to help you understand it. This is the 2nd time I've had Mitchell and I took this class because she was teaching it, plain and simple. Kinda regret it bc the subject sucks, but she's still great!

Great teacher! Loves her job and her students. Clear and funny. She will actually email answers to question you ask in class and she cannot answer, even if it is barely related to class. She is not easy but she puts in the work so she expects you to put in the work too.

What a great teacher. After finishing her class i felt like i knew every single detail about insects. Her teaching methods are fantastic. She is a challenging teacher, but you will learn a lot with her. If you want to LEARN and not an easy A take her class! Best teacher at winthrop

Dr. Mitchell is amazing. She's very down to earth and easy to get along with. Very knowledgeable on the subject and teaches in a way that is easy to understand. She has high expectations for students and this is reflected in the difficulty of the tests. Put the time in and you'll do fine. She was my advisor for 4 years also, best in the BIO dpmt.

Dr. Mitchell is a blast to learn from. I'm a bio minor, and her class was by far the best in the bio dept. She is really helpful, and if she doesn't know something, she'll usually find out for you. Truly a wonderful experience

Dr. Mitchell is awesome. Come to class, take notes, use your common sense and you will be fine. She does NOT use P/P's, she is down-to-earth, loves zoology, and helps if you need it. The tests can be hard if you don't study..so study. She is fair when grading (spelling isn't critical). I highly recommend her and will take her every chance I get.

Brilliant with a wonderful sense of humor. She won't hand you a good grade, but she'll give you plenty of chances, understands if you make mistakes or just have plain old bad luck, and will always help. Top recommendation!

Great teacher. Knows alot about the subject matter. Makes the lectures very interesting and everything on the test are in the lectures. I really didnt have to use my textbook all semester. Allways willing to help. She is definatly on of my favorites.
