Her lectures are dense and you need to go just to take good notes but attendance isn't mandatory. Her tests are 35% each, but she offered extra credit which is huge for a test worth that much. Her final project is also super easy to bump grades. You can get by without reading anything if you go to class everyday.

she is a great professor. the papers are easy and the tests are slightly harder but overall a very light workload class. textbook is not necessary but it can help when studying for an exam. class attendance isnt mandatory but discussion attendance you can only miss two or youll be bumped down a letter grade

dr. davies is awesome, there is a lot of material covered over the semester and the tests can be intimidating at first because its 4-5 essays questions but it's pretty straightforward if you go to class. she actually wants you to learn and enjoy the art. TA was really cool too, there was one mandatory discussion a week that he led. solid class!!

She really knows her stuff and knows how to teach her stuff. Originally I took this class b/c I needed an art credit and this is the only thing that fits my schedule. I usually see art and liberal art subjects total BS, but Professor Davies' amazing lectures really changed my views, it turned out to be one of my favorite classes at UT.

Amazing lecturer. Incredibly intelligent on the topics she teaches and presents material in an interesting and passionate way. Her smooth british accent makes it really easy to listen to what she has to say. We had 3 exams that were all essays and not difficult if you attended class. Would definitely recommend taking her class if you get the chance

Incredible lecturer. She's passionate about what she teaches and likes to throw in extra information that isn't always relevant, but is definitely helpful when studying. My course had no homework or quizzes, just three exams and a final. The essay exams are easy if you go to class. Reading are optional, but they're great for studying. Brit accent.

very interesting, knows her stuff. 3 tests that are 4 essay questions in an hour, not too bad actually, just READ! she helped write the text book, so she knows... it would have been better if i had a TA that didn't grade so hard. but overall, shes cool

Has little interaction with students unless you talk to her directly. She always gives out a sheet of paper with a list of words that will be featured in the lecture that day, but she doesn't tell you what its for- it's just a list of words. I bombed the first test because I thought it was going to have a vocabulary section. Tests are ALL essays
