Comment:

This class was tough because of the professor, if I'm being honest. The material can be explained pretty easily, but Truett needs a microphone at full volume to be heard and even then, it's really easy to zone out. If you can really pay attention and engage him, he'll work with you and you can do well. He outlines his exams/quizzes beforehand too.

Comment:

As a non - eco major the class was pretty challenging. It was a difficult elective, the material was interesting at times but the material covered in class was hardly on the exams it was more about reading all the chapters and learning from there. Super sweet professor though!

Super smart professor. He's kind of old, so his charisma isn't there anymore. He requires a microphone in his lectures, and it doesn't work all the time. Most of us spent the class period reading textbooks - which is fine except you miss out on the math stuff. He's there to help when he's asked.

You can barely hear the guy in class. His exams are a mix of multiple choice and short answer. The material is semi challenging. If you're not an ECO major I would suggest you take another class. Overall I liked the guy and made an A in his class, but I wouldn't take him again.

Covers Macro and Micro topics fairly effectively. Doing the homework is helpful, but really study his exam guides, as they help alot. If you don't understand something, he will make the time to work with you one on one. Very friendly guy, but his lectures can be very monotone and boring. He has been teaching this for over 40 years.

Some things to consider: 1) Class will be difficult if you've never taken Econ before. 2) Very boring, monotone lecture; does not draw in current events to provide context. 3) Tests aren't too difficult if you read the book, take notes in class and study. Overall, this is a bridgehead class for foundation purposes- turns out to be exactly that.

Dr. Truett is a truly amazing professor who genuinely cares and exhibits a strong dedication to teaching (not just collecting a paycheck). He is extremely knowledgeable in the field and explains the material clearly. Go to class, read what he asks, and attempt the homework. Do these things and you can do very well and will learn very much! A++

This material can be challenging, but if you go to class, keep up with the homework, and read the book, and A is attainable. Dr. Truett is very helpful. Does a great review before each quiz and test to get students prepared. Really tries to help his students do well. The material can be a bit dry at times, but he has good stories to liven things

Dr. Truet is a good guy. He was clear, fair, and informative. You have to go to class to know what the hell is going on, and reading the book is necessary to do well on the tests. I would take another class with him if I could. The others who have written that the material is useless and irrelevant will never be managers in the business world.

He is great professor. He very knowledgeable and wrote the book. Not an easy A but if you go to class and do homework assignments you should do fine. The course itself is very hard and he trys his best to help you out. Ask and you shall recieve.
