He was a good professor, he shows a lot of videos that are a tad boring but overall it wasn't bad. Test reviews are really good, true and false kind of throws you off on the exams, so be careful! Overall, great professor!

Comment:

Dr. Alimaras was a great professor. I took this class over winterim and he made class interesting everyday. He shows movies every class. He explains things well and gives review guides before each exam-THESE ARE KEY! But the textbook is necessary. His lecture was sporadic in my opinion but all the answers were in the text. Class was curved too!

Good professor, knows his material well, gives structured lectures. His videos are kinda dated. He did not include the Resilience Model into his teaching, which i think is vital for a health mental state. Other than that he is pretty on point.

Comment:

95% of the test is based on the textbook. Review the definitions and know them well enough to apply it to conceptual examples on the exam. Grade based on 3 tests so cant mess it up and has a really huge curve. Hes really nice and explains material well. Really easy if you read the textbook and know the general concepts and definitions. Recommended.

i had him for abnormal psych and got an easy A. as long as you use his review sheets and know all the terms on them, you'll do well on the tests. also, an 86 is an A on his grading system so he does kind of curve. overall nice guy who in interested in the material and will make you interested too

At times, difficult to understand and his tests are ambigious...if you never taken a Psych class before, get another professor.
