The lab final is going to be scary as hell, but it'll be ok. He's very generous. It's easy to feel overconfident in this class though, if you want the A you gotta work for it. Probably won't fail anyone as long as they do all their assignments and labs and show up for exams. He gives you an easier time(grade-wise) if you actively go to his labs.

Took him last year. Supposedly you are graded the minimum of either all your projects or the lab final. Perfect projects and bad final bad grade. Probably to stop people who copy projects, but people in the back cheat on the final anyways via their phones even though they probably monitor your computer screen. Lab is mostly self-learned.

Great guy, but his teaching style is very outdated. Still he is a very solid professor. His tests are tough and very info heavy but he is a very easy grader. As long as you attempt the question you get really close to full credit. He even lets you redo tests you did bad on. In The lab tests are based on projects so do the projects and u will b fine

A gem of a professor. He really cares about his students and if you pay attention to lecture and do the homework, you should pass his class with flying colors. He gives you every opportunity to raise your grade. 10/10 would take his class again.

Man, I have no idea how I passed this class. His lectures are long and boring, due to the subject. On top of that, you gotta read the entire book or really pay attention to pass his exams. The lab projects, imo, were not that easy either. This dude is not the type of guy that will hold your hand. Either put in the effort or have fun failing.

Professor Gabrovsky is a very laid-back professor who genuinely cares about his students. This semester he assigned 2 HWs, 6 Prolog projects and a take-home final due at the end of the semester. T-H Final was 1 Prolog question, 2 philosophy-esque questions & an introductory paper on AI. Lectures were a bit long-winded and sometimes hard to grasp.

The absolute best professor I have had in my entire college career. He really cares about his students and really knows his stuff. Show up to class and do the homework. If you're not doing well, he'll do everything in his power to turn things around. He wants his students to succeed, and he loves cheesy jokes. Take his class, you won't regret it!

Lovely professor that is very dedicated to his students. Unless you never show up to class, or don't take the exams, or cheat, you should pass simply by listening to the lectures.

Professor is helpful but lectures and labs are useless,i never really listened to his lectures and came to only one or two labs during entire semester, all the info on the test is from the book, lab test is easy if you did and understood the projects, i ended up getting A in lecture and B in lab.

Great professor. Had him for 322, you can get a grade no lower than a B- if you do his 3 HW and 2 Prolog project. Attending class is not mandatory, he even told us if we have better things to do just don't show up. If you want a higher grade do the take home final and u should get a B+ or A depending how good u do on it.

Great guy. He really knows his stuff and is very approachable when you are having problems getting your program(s) to work. It's not mandatory to actually go to the lab sessions. As long as you do the programming projects and actually understand what you're doing (and not just memorizing) then when it comes to the final, it will be an easy A.

Prof Gabrovsky is nice. He gives you many chances to succeed such as letting you fix your midterm mistakes for a small boost in its grade. He didn't teach much in the lab and we were required to learn almost entirely from the book. But in the lecture he knew his material, which is helpful since the scope of the class is so large.

It is true, He talks a lot about his personal experience and tells stories in class. Lectures from Power Point slides. Still he is really interested in his students learning not failing so he will try to help if you ask him. So do the projects, homework and reading and it will be a nice course for you

Straight forward class. Do the projects, no midterm, and a take home final. Projects are some what difficult. Use of book is helpful but not needed. Attendance isn't mandatory. He is a lenient grader. Overall good prof to have to teach you Prolog.

Nice guy but everything you learn in this class will be due to your own initiative in reading the book and the manpages. Tests are predictable and extremely similar to the homework. Be sure to known the lab assignments extremely well, because the time constraints for the final will not allow for anything but typing it all up.

He talks about everything other than course material. His few lectures about O/S were weak powerpoint slides from which he read to us. Listen to his stories about the old days in the industry and IBM but after that bring a laptop or even a book and do something to alleviate the boredom. Nothing he says in class matters all tests exactly like hw.

Material is very abstract so it takes time to understand. Professor is great becuase he will work with you if you are struggling. You might feel that he requires you to do nothing but you will end-up realizing the opposite. It is an easy C but takes effort to jump over a B. I got an A-with a lot of hard work in the end. Not alot of work. Take Him
