Had a paper due pretty much every other week. Boring and repetitive lectures that werent even clear. Graded ridiculously tough. I like to think Im a talented writer, never got anything higher than an 84. Had a 79.98% in the class and he wouldnt bump me to B. Offered to write a whole other paper, wouldnt do it. Is super unfair and loads of work.

Hybrid class - met once a week on Thursdays. Beginning of the semester, there is a bunch of grammar homework online, and quizzes first thing in class on articles assigned (open note). Stay on top of your assignments and submit them when they're due and you'll be fine in this class. Don't be scared to ask for his feedback/help on your essays.

dont take his online class if you arent that good at english he cares even less about you but maybe in class is better. he didnt provide me with help at all he was just saying everything wrong and giving me low scores. he would also dock me off points for stuff that he never explained lol

Professor Marcoux is an awesome dude! He genuinely enjoys what he does. If you need help, do not be afraid to ask. I wish I could take all of my english classes with him. I took English 84 and RWA as well. He loves what he does. Take his class!!

He loves his job. In hybrid, we had class on Thursday & everything was due Sunday night. A lot of grammar homework in the beginning. Open book quizzes right when class starts so dont be late. He doesnt accept late work and essays are worth most of your grade. Theres 5. He genuinely wants to help you. It sounds like a lot, but its an easy class.

Mr. Marcoux cares about his students and will help you when you need it. Follow the rubric and you will receive great grades. He's very clear on what he wants and funny at times. He's really approachable too, as you feel comfortable talking to him as he is both encouraging and helpful.

Mr. Marcoux is a very cool professor. I had him for English RWE which was my FYE class in fall and definitely taking him again for English 1AH. He is very social and loves teaching to his students. Make sure to attend class every day because lecture does matter. And he gives insightful advice on essays. Definitely take him. You won't regret it!!!

Marcoux is one of my favorite teachers so far. He's very friendly and connects to all of his students. I definitely could've passed the class with an A if I didn't procrastinate with the online work. If you do all the online work on time instead of the day before, which by the way helps you prepare for his Townsendpress test and vocab test, easy A.

I really enjoyed Prof. Marcoux's English class. I took Eng. A before this class, so the work was not that difficult. Study your vocab., read the book he assigns you, and give your honest feedback. If you're looking for a kind and simplistic teacher for Eng. 84, enroll in Prof. Marcoux's class!!! :)
