One of the best things that happened to me freshman year. Amazing teacher and treats his students as equals. Cares about the material but knows when the system is flawed and does not hold back on his criticisms of it. Teaches as someone who has lived and not as someone who reads and regurgitates course descriptions.

Hands down my favorite professor at Albany. Looked forward going to every class, since I knew it'd pretty much be an open conversation between him and the students. Treats you as an equal, he's hilarious and sooooo cool about everything. Lots of my friends complained about their UUNI110 professor while I bragged and told stories about Monaco.

This is a very easy or very difficult course depending on your professor. I've heard of many people dreading WCI, it's not an issue if you take it with Monaco. Undeniably hilarious, knowledgeable and passionate about teaching. He genuinely wants students to pass and wants them to learn to think independently. Highly recommend!

Great guy, super funny. No homework, just 3 essays and a group project. He's not always clear on what he wants for his assignments, but he's always very willing to help and answer questions. Really wants you to do well, just go to class and try. Take UUNI110 with him!! You will learn so much more than just writing skills.

Monaco is awesome. He truly knows how to make class fun and keep us entertained and engaged in the lesson. Unlike other professors, he actually cares about how his students are doing in the class. He was also an advisor for UAlbany, and therefore, can give good advice if needed. I would gladly take this class again with him.

Pete is hilarious and he will not hesitate to fail morons. He does not "profess," the man motivates his students to learn and be willing to learn. If you are looking for a class in which you vomit factoids onto a SCANTRON then don't waste his time. Stay in the business school. Read Charles Olson and listen to Bad Religion to prep for his classes.

His class was great to be in however he didn't stick much to the course and it was very easy to get him off on some tangent, although he did manage some days to bring it back. Learned from him in a more roundabout way then most people would assume. Just pay attention, he may be ranting but what he's ranting about will help you later.
