LOVES to reuse questions. He had one final exam before Winter 2009, and decided to make 75% of our exam identical to his previous one. To top it off, he told people he would post his previous final, but decided against it last second because he "couldn't find it." He uses assignment questions on tests as well. Loves to "adjust" marks as well. ;)

This course is very hard and very unintuitive for most people. Professor Ho recognizes this and always says "I know for most of you this stuff doesn't come naturally, but just keep practicing and you'll get it". Because he knows the course is hard, his exams consist PURELY of questions STRAIGHT from the h/w and from old exams. He's very helpful t

An okay prof - pretty good for his second time teaching. The course material is very boring, and it's very dry (not his fault at all, of course). Sometimes he'll shun you when you ask for help but other times he wont. I only wish he was clearer and tried to make the course more interesting.

Tells us that he will use two quizzes to boost up marks for the midterm. But ends up telling us the weighting schema after the quizzes. The schema being that you can get at most 1.6 percent boost on the midterm mark itself = 0.4% in the final mark.

Although he's trying very hard, his explanations are still quite poor [He can explain better outside class tho]. I appreciate his effort in trying to improve his teaching skills, but as a teacher/prof, he still needs a heck lot of work!!!

While he seems genuinely interested in the students' welfare, he is hampered by the language barrier. This carries over to class where, unfortunately, his approach to teaching is simply reproducing notes on the board with very poor explanations, if any.

Useless as a prof. Don't go to class, read the textbook, and you'll do better than if you waste your time. I can only take so much inneptitude. If his teaching was a service I bought at a regular store, I would ask for a refund.

Can barely speak English. Has problems trying to communicate what he is thinking. Current notes consist of reproducing old lecture notes on the blackboard, and drawing circles around equations. Lurches from equation to equation, no explanation of concepts

He's a very nice and approachable person and has improved a lot over the course of the term, given his lack of teaching experience. He is a much better teacher when he teaches on the blackboard. Put in a lot of effort!
