Comment:
He's older than most of the other professors and is hard of hearing, but he is a good guy. He assigns reading (short stories) every night and there is a basic 5 point quiz at the beginning of class. After the quiz, he discusses the story and let's you leave early. Wouldn't recommend missing more than 3 classes-he throws out the lowest 3 scores

Sanderlin is a great man. As a professor, his lectures can be a little bit boring but the points he makes do come in handy for the two exams. Attendance is mandatory, but if you have a valid excuse he will allow you to make up a quiz the following week. He is also really caring and wants his students to do their best.

He is very passionate about what he teaches and it makes the class interesting. He gave a quiz every week over the chapters of the book we had to read but it wasn't that hard. You could get away with just using sparknotes. Very friendly and good teacher!

He teaches history of the books instead of actually going over the books and reading you are required to read. Not the greatest teacher. Cool guy just wouldn't take him again.

He's really good at explaining things. I actually understood all the stuff we talked about in class. You don't have to read the books, just read Sparknotes and you'll do great on his quizzes. The tests sound harder than they are, but you really do have to study. I recommend him for everyone who has trouble understanding Plato/The Odyssey/etc.

Dr. Sanderlin is a ****, simplistic teacher. It is doubtful he has read a book in the last 20 years. He prefers to teach history and religion as opposed to English. Unless you are a flirtous female or athlete, be prepared to be insulted.

States that he is more concerned with really "teaching" you than just teaching you the material out of the textbook. He is very interesting and explains everything with unique metaphors so you can really understand what he's talking about. Only
