by far one of the best professors I've ever had. he makes himself very available outside of class and he truly cares about his students. his exams are straight forward and he curves every exam a few points. he wanted us to read from the book but I never did and it didn't hurt my grade at all. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN. hes insanely smart and great

Honestly, Dr. Rajan is THE best professor I have ever had. He has given us extra credit on every exam. And by that I mean at the beginning of the exam he tells you the answers to a couple of questions. He also will occasionally give you a free 100 for a quiz. TAKE HIM! He is hilarious and super nice. He also brings you candy on test days.

Rajan is literally the funniest and sweetest teacher at UT. He gives answers to questions on test sometimes and gives extra credit. Hes always willing to meet up outside of class and answers any questions I have. He sometimes brings candy for rest days just because hes so nice.

Rajan was honestly my favorite professor I have had in college so far. When I took this class, it was my first semester at UTK (I transferred from UTC) and he really set the tone for how my day was since he was my first class of the day. He made the material easy to understand and he was hilarious. You can tell he cares a lot about his students.

He is super fun and intelligent. Nice guy, if you try you will pass. Go to his office hours as he expects you to. Look over notes and read the pages he tells you to for exams and you should do well. He provides you with the essay questions on the study guide so make sure you are familiar with them. Over-all I enjoyed this class & would take again.

Best Psych Prof you will ever have. Amazing Guy and super chill and will help you out with anything you need. His class is Challenging but its a 300 level class and we're in College so it would be dumb if it wasn't. That being said he is an extraordinary teacher with incredible talent. 100000% would take him again

Rajan is very scatterbrained, but one of the most caring professors I have ever had. He goes out of his way for his students and give a lot of extra credit. If you don't do well in his class it is your own fault. He also is very flexible to meet outside of class! Rajan is so funny his class is defiantly worth it.

Rajan is awesome and really cares about his students. He grades super leniently, and the text book is used - but barely. His class was engaging and his lectures were hilarious. Only critique is that he doesn't update canvas, so you're always in the dark about your grade AND he is very scattered and unorganized which is VERY annoying. Easy A.

Dr. Rajan is a wonderful professor and person. He gives lots of extra points to students and is easy to meet with when he has the time. There was almost no homework in his Psych 295 class; all I had to do was study the notes and read a short chapter in the book and I got an A on all the tests. He even bought some students coffee one time! 10/10

Test is way too hard and there are way too much to study than it should be. Class material is very unorganized and he does NOT post any of them study materials on Canvas. Really frustrating and hard to understand his English very often due to such a strong accent.

Preface: i'm not particularly fond of this website. That said, Dr. Rajan is a brilliant, caring, fun and devoted instructor, and UT is lucky to have him. He inserts little bits of trivia into his lectures, which I very much enjoyed. This is a challenging 300-level class, but if you devote yourself to the material, you can certainly ace the course.

If you don't do well in Dr. Rajan's class, it is probably entirely because you didn't put in any effort. Dr. Rajan is an incredible professor and will do everything he can to make sure you understand the material all you have to do is reach out to him. He is very clear about what he expects and he will always give feedback so you can do better.

He is a good professor and really cares about his students. However, hard to understand him sometimes. The class had a clear grading scale at the beginning but he definitely does not follow it often which can make it hard to determine what grade you are going to receive. If you show up to class he will help you out when it comes to your grade.

Rajan is a great teacher. He cares about his students and really makes himself available to meet outside of class. He spends a lot of time in Hodges Library, so he is easy to find. It is a tough course, so be sure to do the readings he assigns.

Comment:
Disorganized. If you care about your grades, you will get pretty frustrated with Rajan. Nothing is graded in a timely manner. He and other students like to talk about all the extra "bonus" points that he gives out on tests but those points are actually in lieu of throwing out wrong answers on his tests. Lots of frustration

Comment:
Very unclear on grading and assignment expectations. Hosted an extra credit opportunity only to decide it wouldn't count after several people had already attended. Messed up the answer key on one of our tests to the point where my fixed score was 20 pts higher than the original. Nice man, but his unreliability can be frustrating.
