A joy to watch in lecture. Enthusiastic to teach and loves the subject. Does go quick and won't hold your hand if you get confused, however. He assumes you can figure out smaller things for yourself. Going to office hours helps with that. Stickler for having students solve problems the way he wants. Has become an easier grader as of late.

Great guy but difficult to understand and writes pretty messy when drawing diagrams, wants you to succeed and grades fairly (class content not too hard either) at a steady pace, passionate about helping you learn, posts slides but takes attendence for 6% of grade, work load not bad, expecting an A- (exams 3 questions each and graded well)

Hardest part of class is paying attention to lecture, however its not necessary. there are supplemental lecture videos to learn from (not great either) if you don't want to attend lecture. I doubt he was ever a very good professor, and he's too close to retirement to try to improve. Also, he wont really answer your questions.

His lectures are confusing. You're better off trying to learn from the online lectures and reading the textbook. You'll probably do decent if you draw your free body diagrams.

Nice guy but cannot teach for the life of him. Very hard to understand and gets annoyed when no one knows how to do anything. Honestly I'd go on a wait list for another professor before I take him.

If you ever have a chance to take a class with Professor Malla, DON'T! He is rude, hard to understand, not engaging in the slightest and presents the material in the hardest way possible.

Prof. Malla wants you to succeed, may be difficult to understand in class sometimes but his office hours are extremely helpful, he is one of the sweetest and most helpful professor I have ever had at Uconn. Get to know him and you will love him.

Professor Malla is a nice guy, but he is not the best teacher for this course. Attendance is not mandatory but it got so bad he made attendance worth extra credit. Homework solutions are online and quizzes are not the worst. Exams are fairly difficult but he gives decent partial credit. Don't expect higher than a B for this course with him.

Malla is so unclear in class, its not even his accent its just the way he teaches. Hes a really smart guy, its just that he doesn't know how to teach. Avoid at all costs. I had a 4.0 going into his class , barely ended up with a C for his class. textbook useless, you can find the homework solutions pdf online as well.

Remesh seems like a nice dude but during lecture he is so unclear with the material he presents and you learn nothing from them. We had videos to learn the basics but then the exam would have questions that were on such a higher level than what we were prepared for. He's the worst professor I've ever had. I had 3.9 gpa and barely managed a C.

Speaks very quickly and not clearly. Doesn't give chance to actually learn material as he pretty much restates it for himself.

Remesh Malla is a good person but a terrible professor. He does not clearly explain everything during his lecture. His videos are helpful but not a great studying guide tool during exams. His a TOUGH grader for both homeworks and exams. If I could pick any other professor for this class than I definitely would.

He really isn't as bad as everyone is making him out to be. He's super approachable, he's more than willing to help his students, and he gives you all the material you need. It's the subject that's difficult- welcome to engineering! You will have to learn a lot on your own, but if you do need help understanding something just ask. Clicker Qs too.

Do the homework. Get the solution manual and make sure you fully understand the homework and you'll be fine. His exams are way easier than the homework. He's very fair, you just have to be able to put in the work. My final exam was 3 points short of giving me an A in the class, but he gave me an A anyways.

Very clear presentation of material. If you find him difficult to follow, it is probably the material, not him. He is neither the least ambitious nor the most when it comes to just how much material to cover. Very cheerful and cares about students. Seemed close to tears with pride when the final exams were being handed in.

Jesus take the wheel on this one... Avoid this man at ALL costs. GPA killer. You won't learn in class, so be prepared to be very friendly with the book (which is also a terrible selection) don't say we didn't warn you.
