Not sure if this is the same teacher, I had him at UOP online. He was the best teacher I have had, and provided links for the class to help. He even had a Questions for Rick Thread. Awesome Teacher!!

Worst professor I've ever had. I am an Astronomy NERD and find this class to be nothing short of a test for my passion of physics and astronomy. This professor has assigned 8 homework assignments that take a couple hours to complete and our class just got results from the 2nd assignment back. I'm getting an A but am learning it all on my own.

This man couldn't explain a banana to a monkey. He managed to take a topic I was extremely interested in and absolutely butcher it, making me dread each 3 hour class meeting like a coming plague. DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH HIM, THERE IS NO POSSIBLE BENEFIT!

I can barely understand him and stay awake. He doesn't cover much in the lecture and unless you wanna learn all the stuff on your own, the class sucks. Im doing ok in it, but I gotta constantly stay on top of it and do it all independently. The worst part is he passes the roll sheet at the end of the class

Worst professor I've ever faced. Completely ruined astronomy. Randomly assigns clusters of online quizzes that are very time-consuming and only after heated arguments did he allow us to see which answers were wrong (but not which answer is correct) His 3.5 hour lecture ALWAYS lasts the ENTIRE 3.5 hours, sometimes longer. He is legitimately too old.

Prof. Moyer is honestly one of the worst teachers i have ever dealt with. He does not know how to teach and he is so boring. I barely passed this class because of him. and plus i didnt really learn anything now i am moving on with very little knowledge. i do not recommend this prof.

He's definitely not the most user-friendly teacher. This course is very difficult, and the only reason I'm doing well is because I sweat and bleed to learn the material on my own. He's smart, and I don't have anything against him personally, but I would recommend another teacher if you can. DO NOT the section that meets once a week for 3 hours!

He is a horrible teacher! His test are very hard and I had to fight to go to class everyday. When he tells you, you need to write something down during lectures it's not even on the test. But if you do the horrible homework he does some curving so you could get an A. It's not fun!!!

This guy is a joke of a professor. He might know what he's teaching very well, but he does not know HOW to teach it at all. His tests are very hard and everyone gets C's or worse, but he curves everything so his class of D's looks like a class of B's. If you want an easy class then this is it, but you won't learn anything.

when this class started in Feb. the class was packed..we have 2 classes left and I counted 14 people. He doesn't clarify ANYTHING! His test are hard and class is REALLY boring BUT, BUT it is almost impossible to fail with his grading scale. A 55% is a C. If you can stick thorough it, it's worth it.

This class was easy. At the end of the course my grade was 108%. He gives a lot of extra credit so that stupid students can pass this class. The students in the class that I took were border-line retarded. They could not get the easiest of concepts. If your IQ is over 95, don't be afraid of him.

This little man is a gnome! He expects you to study 12 hrs a week and then it still doesnt do you any good because you have to memorize like 200 terms for one quiz that consist of 8 ?s. Unless you like keebler elves do not take this class!

As the others commented, very hard professor. If you are interested in learning astronomy self-taught, this class will force you to keep up to date with the material. The course suggests 8-12 hours/week for 3 units (and he's serious)

Expect to be required to learn approximately 100+ pages of difficult concepts within a few days throughout the semester. The tests are impossible no matter how hard you study but get ready to put at least 12-15 hours of work each week anyways
