Dr. Thurston lived in a hippie commune for three weeks. He was in attendance for Woodstock, and has on many occasions alluded to smoking weed. This man knows his stuff when it comes to the political realm. Likes to use students as examples in class; makes references to Kardashians and thong underwear. His course is about as rough as his skin.

I feel that Thurston may be the best faculty member in SPC, that being said be prepared for his class. It's hard to do well in it if you miss an assignment or don't do well on a few tests, but he'll teach you everything you need to know and more about the subject.

Finally, a political realist in SPC's Political Science Dept. Dr. Thurston's approach to viewing the world politically couldn't be more on point.Rather than spend a semester naively criticizing American policy, Dr. Thurston actually illustrates the reality of the individualistically-driven nations that make up the world. Other docs should take note
