I took his summer class, and I learned a ton. Show up to lecture and take notes on the important stuff. He gives 3 tests and no homework. He gives out study guides and the essay questions ahead of time, so make sure you know everything on it. It's multiple choice and do 2 pages for each essay question and you'll be fine. I ended up with an A.

Easy teacher. Have to go to every class for the lecture notes. 3 tests, not that hard if you study the notes and the study guide he gives prior to the test.

Was an ok professor. He's a good guy, really knows this stuff. But it would help if he would use a little more technology and grade the tests by points instead of letter grades. His handwriting is very bad. Only recommended if you like to learn old fashioned way.

Grades based on 3 tests. No homework/essays/busywork. Didn't buy/use a book even though he assigns reading. MUST show up for lecture to get a good grade and take good notes. Multiple choice$ 3 essays per test. Essays, just write down everything. He says he wants 2 good paragraphs but I wrote at least a page, front and back per essay.

Professor King lectures like its one giant story, which is good because it keeps things interesting. If you can not pass this class you are either not going to class everyday or you are not studying for the tests. This is the best history class I have yet to take at Ohlone College, and he's among the best professors I've had.

His tests are mostly based on lecture and not on the textbook. As a matter of fact, I don't think you really need the textbook in the first place because he explains everything in lecture. The book is a waste of money. He kind of looks like an older version of Edward Norton.

YOU HAVE TO TAKE HIM! He's really easy and clear. Only thing you need to do is go to class, take good notes and write down the main points he writes on the board, and you get yourself an A in the class. There's only 3 tests and he always tells you what's on it the day/week before you take it. The class may sometimes be boring but it's worth it!

I’m an older student and I enjoyed class very much. He works hard to keep you interested. Take notes in the class, don’t use the book!! The only problem I had with the class was the text book. THE BOOK IS A JOKE

He is really cool butIf you like to talk in the class, don't take it with him.The exams are easy and if you attend the lectures and read the study guide you'll be fine. You might wanna do your homework in the class too since his lectures are usually long and he just looks @ the wall while lecturing=)

He's a nice teacher, and has good, interesting lectures. If you take notes and read your book you should do fine. Just be sure to write a LOT for his essay questions: he says just a paragraph or two is fine but he *actually* wants more.

Took him on Wednesday nights for History of California and I must say, this guy is relatively easy. Show up to lectures, take notes, and read the book once, and you're set. His handwriting sucks.
