Needed this class for major. Grade consists of 3 exams (25%, 30%, 30%), a few worksheet assignments (10%), attendance (5%), and a comprehensive test for extra credit (5 points). Professor made an 8:30am class enjoyable with his prior work experiences and funny stories. Learned a lot about high level strategies and jobs after I leave SBU. Take him!

A great class to learn about marketing beyond the US. Class grading was 3 exams (25%, 30%, 30%), 5 papers (10%), and attendance (5%). Professor makes an hour 20 min class go by fast with his stories and humor, and the class is very well paced. No textbook, print notes from blackboard and add what he says during class.

Love Professor Ettl! Has great real-life examples for his lectures from his work experience. Easy 2 page papers every 2 weeks, exams are fairly easy! Attendance counts! Definitely take him if you are in the SBU business program!

I love this professor! He made it so easy to pay attention in his class and I actually remembered all of his examples. If you take notes on everything that he discusses in class and write down everything he says during the exam review, you'll get an easy A. Only problem is he makes the grading scale a 96% for an A

Prof. EttI is one of the best professors at Stony Brook University. He has great real life stories and is very informative. Grading is tough tho. You need 96 to get an A. However, if you are a good student and pay attention to his lectures, you will be just fine! Prof. EttI is always ready to help you if you have some questions. Love him!

Prof Ettl has great real-life stories to back up Org Beh principals, which makes the information come alive. Would highly recommend taking one of his classes, he's a wonderful person to get to know. I would definitely take another course with him.

I took his BUS 362, it was a great class. There was no textbook required, all lectures were very interesting and consisted mostly of professors personal stories. We had two midterms, one final and one final paper, so you have lots of opportunities to do well in class. Grading system is very clear and professor is always willing to help you.

I love Dr. Ettl. His knowledge in teh business world is second to none, his stories keep you engaged and the information I learned in his classes more than 10 years ago are still applicable today! I am greatful for my education with him and only wish I could continue to take his classes!

ettl is a good guy, but seriously his instructions are too vague for the marketing plan. he gives out 2 midterms and a final. his reviews are alone 15 mins long and seems useless. the grading isnt good too as you need a 96 to get an A (you cant get more than one incorrect multiple choice question out of 30) for each test

He spends most of the time telling stories that are relatable to the topics. You have 3 exams no midterm and 3 hw assignments. Don't buy the textbook, you only need it for 3 EASY hw. The marketing plan at the end isn't too bad if you weren't sleeping. I liked him a lot, can't wait to have him again.

My favorite professor in Stony Brook. He tells a lot of stories and the test are quite easy. Class is always interesting. The only bad thing is that the grade for an A is high, you need a 97 overall for an A, there are no extra credits, you should have 100 for at least 2 of your test for an A. Some Q's are ambiguous and overthinking gets you wrong

Took Ettl last Spring for his freshman seminar on Civil War Leadership styles. He seemed to know everything there is to know about the Civil War. Highly recommend this class.
