A LOT OF PAPERS! 4-5 papers, but he took one off for my class. He is a cool guy and his class is really interesting but he gives weird grades (A--- or B++) and you're never sure about what he wants from you in his papers. His midterm was a written midterm and my hand was killing me. But I don't regret taking him.

Professor Farrell is very knowledgable. At the end of the semester it was horrible because of all the work. You have to write an autobiography paper (easy), field experience/interview/school board meeting watch (easy), and critical case analysis (25 pages of headache). The midterm and final are easy if you study. They are long - essay questions

Difficult class if you take it during the summer. Dr. Farrell doesn't explain the topics very well. The test are so long because he doesn't use multiple choice. Be ready to write, and write, and write during the test.

Loved this class!!! He shows movies and interesting videos all the time. Hes funny....gets off subject a lot and tells funny stories. If you do the assignments like he wants you to you'll get an A... not a hard class at all, just keep up with the assignments

He's very lenient with assignments. Gives you many options. Shows videos in class which you must write a response too. 2 papers (3-4 pages) and 2 tests make up 3/4 of the grade. Show some interest and you'll do fine.

Dr. Farrell was one of my absolute favorite teachers at FIU. He was helpful, funny, and very clever. His lectures were always interesting and he made the class fun. A very knowledgable man. I would definitely recommend taking a class with him!
