He was a good professor and compared to other macro professors he's a pretty awesome choice. He has a great curve(85% and up is an A). No homework, 2 test, and a cumulative final. The subject can be overwhelming but he really tries to make it as easy as possible. pretty easy class.

This class was graded by 3 tests. 2 midterms, and a final. His lectures can be heavy, but he does his best trying to relate them to the real world and explain how he comes to certain answers. Posts all his material online and is very helpful during office hours.

I took ECON 160 with him and got a B+. Currently taking 161 with Soma Patra and probably going to get C or under. Dont take her, accent and has a low monotone voice. krol on the other hand was one of my favorite professors. Class is only based on 3 exams, no hw. Needless to say, youre going to have to read and listen intuitively. Sit up front!

He is a very experienced teacher with material similar to other Economics classes. 2 exams and 2 quizzes and makes you work very hard. He does curve the grades and can be understanding. He does blaze through the materials very quickly and it can be hard to take notes but understand his graphs and his textbooks and you will be fine.

this class is weighted on 3 exams and nothing else. The 3rd is on the whole course. I took this on a friday for 3 hours and it made it difficult! he lectured on even if everyone left or slept lol he knows his stuff and he curves to save lives! i failed every test and ended up with a C. Read the book!

Only 3 test for the whole semester. Final is the most difficult. Read the textbook and you will be fine. Econ is a boring subject but all Mac. econ professor aren't that great. He was a good choice for me.

Don't get me wrong, economics is interesting but he makes it so tedious with his monotone voice since his lectures are 3 hours longgg. He does curve grades, but you should definitely study hard to pass this class especailly if economics is not your favorite subject. Maybe consider taking it with another professor who makes it interesting.

Professor Krol is great! Honestly the best economics professor I've had at CSUN. His lectures are pretty long, but economics is a pretty boring subject to begin with. His tests are ridiculously fair, and he grades on a curve. Just make sure to study what's highlighted in his powerpoints and you'll get an A.

Dr. Krol is a very good professor. International Economics was not a very easy subject and he did his best to go over the material as many times as needed to make sure we understood it. Definitely would recommend him. He's a fair graded as well.

Prof Krol is the best!! More easy going and friendly than most of the econ profs at CSUN. Tests are straight from his lectures, but he expects in-depth analysis. Easy A or B

Honestly, I only went to class the 1st time and the rest during the tests [very long/boring/early lecture]. But ONLY use this approach if you can keep up with the material and are great at teaching yourself. If not, do go to class because he is crystal clear and a good professor. He gives you everything you need to do well-good teaching+ ppts+book

Awesome! He is super clear in his lectures. U need the book for this class since all the homework is in th book, and u have to do the homework since thats exactly whats on th exams. Do the work an you will get a good grade. Letures arent superfun but he is very structured so i would recommend going to class so you can do homeworks with no reading.

Very nice and helpful professor. 2 essay tests (midterm & final), little homework, and some practice essay assignments. Really wants students to understand the topic, but it does require studying. Always happy to answer questions! The topic can get a bit confusing, so be sure to ask questions! I would definetly take him again!

Econ is pretty hard by nature but he makes it easier to learn. Must read the book+power points if you wanna pass I'd say make flash cards for every test and keep them since final is cumulative... I would def recommend him
