Comment:

Ralston is wonderfully caring and extremely knowledgeable. Just don't rely on email for important questions and accept that due dates will be in constant flux. (The due date thing often works in your favor.) If you're having trouble with an assignment, take it to her - she really does want to help.

Any assignment she gave had little to no instruction and no guidelines. She never gave tests back in time, the first test she gave back three weeks late, and only two days before the next test.

Our class was swimming in a typhoon of pointless assignments that she has yet to grade.She believes that making a class difficult just means assigning more work, and then grading more harshly for pointless reasons outside of content.She also let her personal life affect how she taught.I didn't learn a thing in her class, despite the work I invested

She's not a very good teacher and she values her own opinions over what needs to be taught. Very easy class made difficult by poor teaching and scheduling. Doesn't hold class very often seemingly because she just doesn't want to.

I agree that Ralston is a Feminist! And she has actually lost my main paper too! I thought I was the only one. As for the whole "snake in disguise" I'm not sure. But she was an easy teacher, favored the girls more than boys. I've even written some of my papers from a feminist perspective and have gotten good grades! Think Feministically 4 an A!

She is one of the best teachers I've had. Yes, she does teach a lot about women but that's fine for me, and that doesn't mean she's feminist. She is one of the nicest people and a very good teacher.

THE WORST!! Feminist, disorganized, snake in disguise, all these describe her. She loses your biggest papers and wonders what you didn't hand them in. Then she wonders how it appears in her office a semester later and wonders what it's doing there and sends back to you.

I like her. She's a christian femenist, a woman after my own heart. She's disorganized, yes, but I find that tends to make her more "human". I probably could have LEARNED more from another professor, but I wouldn't've had as good of a time. She reminds me of my mother.

A lot of people dont like Dr. Ralston. I like her class. The assignments are a little boring, but she teaches fairly well and seems to be very nice to her students (a trait which is rare in a teacher).

I've had Ralston for several miserable classes. She is the best incentive I know of to not be an English major. I've gotten papers back from her ungraded a year after they were turned in. However, if you enjoy emoting instead of thinking, go ahead.
