Professor Massicotte is extremely knowledgable in the subject matter. There are 3 face-to-face classes that are intensive. Participation during those classes is highly recommended. Do the assignments and homework. Be prepared. Put full effort into this class and you will succeed. Grading is straight forward. No surprises.

I've had him for 2 classes so far at FSCJ. He is extremely knowledgeable in the Fire Science field. His classes are cut and dry as in you know what he expects and he expects quality work. You put in effort your fine. You get points for attendance and have quizzes each week from the textbook. The real learning is in the classroom where he lectures.

Very tough class. It's doable but you have to work for it. Do ALL of the work, study and don't miss any of the 6 classes. The tests may be take-home/online, but that doesn't make them easy. Have fun :)

Great professor for such a difficult class. You can pass the class if you do the work, ask questions, and even ask him for help before/after class. It is a difficult class, but you will gain a lot of knowledge after it.

Extremely hard class. Yes, he does know his chemistry but he expects you to memorize rather than learn the material. Notecards are a must for this class. Do not expect to do anything other than chemistry during the weekends of his class. Expects you to get 100's on tests no matter what. Completely unrealistic of a teacher

Good professor and very knowledgeable. pretty straight forward on his assignments other than changing the day of the final exam. do the assignments word for word from the text book and you will be fine. text book is important, without it you will fail. otherwise an easy class if you use the text book. you will learn, NFPA sucks.

Online course: You can do your work at your own pace you have a weekly assignment per chapter that needs to be completed. No papers which is a huge plus and the assignments are fairly easy. Just do the work and submit it and your good to go. Final is online and 50 questions multiple choice (also easy)
