Solid professor, enthusiastic about the material and teaching. He used lots of relevant examples in teachings. Textbook not used much. Not a difficult class, but sometimes the in-class assignments lacked clarity.

Oh, Bobby. I hated him for most of the semester. His class should have been worth more credits for the amount of work you do, and the text book is never used (but the text book is the final). That said and 6 months later, you'll benefit when it's all said and done. He's a nice guy and knows what he's talking about. Won't be easy, but def. recommend

I agree with the previous post. He is definitely not as hard as everyone makes him out to be. I learned a ton in this class without realizing it. There is a lot of hw assignments and journal notes, but after having done them all I must say that I benefited from doing them. Overall, a good class if you re willing to put the work in.

Not nearly as bad as others make him out to be. Yes, there is a lot of busy work but it helps you understand the material better. He is a very nice guy and eager to help his students. Papers are difficult if you don't understand what he is looking for.. go to office hours! Doesn't directly reference the text but it is worked into his lessons.

He's a nice guy but a horrible teacher. He gives you journal notes which are a waste and soo stupid; he likes to give a lot of busy work that takes up time you could use to read the textbook for the final. READ THE TEXTBOOK!!! He doesn't even mention the book in class but thats what the final is soley based on.

I enjoyed this class although the majority of people absolutely hated it. Journal notes weren't hard, just a little time consuming; current events papers were straightforward & pretty simple. He's friendly and approachable and he loved our business plan! I would recommend taking him; just study the text throughout the semester and you'll be fine!

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Journal Notes are awful and pointless. Does not teach from the book, even though the final is only on the book. Avoid at all costs or you will regret it.

Terrible class, it wasn't as boring as I had expected, and there was some good content that he discussed. However, he was HORRIBLY unclear about assignments, didn't cover the text at all, made us do journal notes (which suck) and grades unnecessarily hard (including our business plan for NO reason). Not accessible, not easy, not fufilling. Avoid!

Those who are taking GB101... avoid this man at all costs. I just finished taking him, and after reading some of the reviews here I thought I would be ok. Boy was I wrong. He grades insanely hard, the journal notes you read about here are a waste of time, and he just makes GB101 MUCH HARDER than it needs to be. DO NOT TAKE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Nice guy: really understanding, and if you actually talk to him outside of class he gives perfect feedback to get you a 4.0. He has expectations in mind, and if you don't know what they are, you're gonna struggle, but he's really accessible. You'll learn a lot, but won't realize it until after you're out of the class.

Honestly, this is the worst professor you can get for GB101. He is a good teacher, but he just makes it way harder than it needs to be. He makes you take notes on these articles each week that take hours if you actually read them and its pointless. GB101 is taught exactly the same by all teachers so do yourself a favor and find an easier teacher.

He is an intelligent man, however, he constantly gives you busywork. He makes you do pointless journal articles, and his essays are so stupid and he grades them very hard. I had a lot of interest in this subject and did a really good business plan and walked away with a 3.3. Just don't take him he will make your life miserable.

Everyone hated the busywork, and hes not the easiest 101 prof, but hes a cool guy if you give him a chance. He knows a lot about the subject, has a great personal interest, and tries to get you interested. Available at office hours and really tries to help you when you need it. Play by his rules, do the work. I got a 4.0 but had to work for it.

Lots of work, journal notes, projects (due within unreasonable times), and current event papers. The man yammers on forever, but is very interested in cars (as am I so it helps pass the time). Overall a so-so teacher with lots of work.
