I wish he taught more classes at Palomar but I guess when the prof's are parttime you only see them now and then. If you catch him in the sked, take him! A media professional, he knows what he is talking about and gives clear explanations of the work. One of the better prof's I have taken.

A pretty cool prof. Long on lectures so if your not into that be prepared. Mixes it up with videos. Take goods notes and study the book and you should do good on the test. Was often 5-10 minutes late to class so you could get to class a bit late. He passes around an attendance sheet just so you know.

Good broad intro to mass communication. Lectures were clear and based on the book. (have to take notes though because he only writes as he speaks!) Lots of video material too that expanded on things. Tests were book based w/ helpful extra credit questions.

his lectures are very unorganized; he sometimes doesn't specify what he is lecturing about he just starts talking, but his tests are very easy and as long as you show up to class and pay attention. you might need to teach yourself some stuff at times.

Good, genuine dude. His lectures aren't very organized, and tends to lecture pretty fast. He usually shows up late and usually lets you out early. Not a hard class. Take notes on his lectures, follow the study guide and you'll do well. Get ready for many movies as well.

The teacher was good about incorporating the textbook reading into his lectures. Although he had mentioned he will not heavily rely on the textbook for the source of his lectures he does tend to refer to a lot of the same topics that are covered in the chapters. But the class does focus on the factual history of mass media to present day.

Easy fun teacher. Tests are mainly based on leature even though he says that they are based on reading to. Show up to class and you will be fine. He tells you everything that will be on the test.

Read the book! Prof Koenig gives great clear lectures but does not lecture on every chapter. You must read them for the tests. Tends to be tardy but the efficient lectures make up for it. Also great variety with videos. And he tests on them too!

holy ... i dont know what class that other person took but it sure wasnt the experience i had with this prof this semester. passion for the subject; clear lectures; fair tests. dunno how you could go wrong.

He is a good guy, just very flakey and doesn't really seem to care about the class. Is often late (but you always get out early) and is unprepared. Our third test was on like 7 chapters, of which he had only gone over 2. His tests are pretty easy...just use the handy-dandy study guides he provides

He appreciates attendence and it does make a difference in your grade. Take good notes, do the study guides, and you'll hardly have to open the book. He's often late, but he mostly lets you go early.

This Prof. does not give out any HW. As long as you show up and take good notes, you'll never have to read the book. Overall i learned alot from this class and the Prof. is very clear.

Comment:

He's my teacher for Mass Media In America. He's really cool, and he always wants imput from the students during the lecture. He can also relate to us since he's not old... He's actually relatively young. I also find it really cool that he works in 3 different mediums. He's a professor, he's a journalist, and he's an independent fil director.

Class was kick back but tests were tough. Study guides are helpful. If you read the book and watch videos you have nothing to worry about, very accommodating to student's summer schedules..

Nice guy, but did not do one single thing he said he was going to do in the time frame he said it would happen. This was a summer class and its speed was made more difficult by the fcat the we went into our final having never received a grade for any of the previous tests and assignments. Want to learn something? Take someone else!

Comment:

I thought that this class was easy. He practically reads the book to you in class and always let class out early. The final is a combintion of the past tests, and he gives you the answers when correcting each test. I would recomend his class, and he's a really nice guy!
