Ron is the definition of a teacher. He teaches you exactly what you need to know. Nothing more, nothing less. Other professors should sit in on his classes and see how effective this teaching style really is. I recommend that everyone take at least one class with Ron.

A legend.I've heard many,many things about Ol'RON-Ron.Must be pretty popular if someone stole his picture from the UC.Lots of jokes are made at his expense, but I hear he encourages them. Hilarious accent and cracks me up laughing. Trick him into saying "i'm ron nelson". Can't wait until scuba 2.

Had him for two Scuba classes and Hiking and Backpacking. He's a really entertaining person. Great to take a class from. Very good sense of humor. Easy tests. Very straightforward. Knowledgeable about his subjects. Ron rocks!
