Amazing professor who really understands and knows the field. He is very passionate about the subject. Only graded by two exams and a analytical group research paper (usually combining economics and statistics). Read his book-its very helpful and the past exams are usually what he asks on the test.

Professor Ehrenberg was the best professor I have had at Cornell. I am so thankful that I took his class and wish I could take it again before I graduate! He is generally an amazing professor and I recommend that all students have the opportunity to take his class before graduating. He genuinely cares about his students. You're the best RGE!

RGE is a professor you won't appreciate until the very last day of classes. But he truly is an inspiration, a renown economist, and you will learn a ton from his class. He's also very fair - take his paper seriously, use the practice midterm/finals to study from, read Tuition Rising, pay attention in lecture and you'll be fine. He's genuinely nice.

Wonderful professor. Clearly not trying to overburden students with work or destroy any GPAs, just wants us to understand the complexity of university decision making. Attend lecture, pay attention, read Tuition Rising, practice with last years' tests, and go see him in office hours.

Very interesting professor and class. I disagree with commenter who said he is full of himself; while he does boast it is very tongue in cheek.

Ehrenberg is awesome. You have to go well out of your way, more so than with other profs, to get him to notice you... but if you do it's well worth it. He's opinionated, and it's awesome, especially since ILR seems to only hire bleak, boring people who have nothing worth saying anymore. Ehrenberg is the best thing to happen to ILR

He's a great professor and lectures are very interesting. This class is perfect for economics students who want to listen to fun stories and write essays instead of solving math problems. Attendance is not mandatory, but you won't be bored if you go. Make sure you understand the practice prelim and you'll be fine for the real exam!

Great class. Great professor. He's so funny and amusing. Subject matter is definitely interesting, too. For the economics major, it is definitely a class to be taken if you want a break from all the math and tough grading.

i had a great time and learned a lot. a very lighthearted but in-depth approach. was nervous about taking a course based on the prof's own book (those can be bad, when the prof just basically reads verbatim -- why go to class!??), but this was well worth it. had a good time with my end-of-term project too.
