Took Prof. Cano for my GE requirement. She was a great professor. Since it is a speech class, participation does count for points. There are 5 speeches in total. She also gives extra credit, and it very understanding about personal situations. She is willing to work with you and wants every person in her class to succeed.

Awesome teacher. Loved her classes. She makes everything easy and is always so clear. Gives extra credit and lets you turn in assignments one week late but does take one point off. Would take her again.

Professor Cano is awesome. I took her over the summer and she made speech enjoyable and her feedback helped me improve both my speech skills and life skills a lot. Really enjoyed her class.

I took her over the summer, and it was a great class. She is straight forward with everything on the syllabus! She is understandable if you let her know why you missed class or an assignment. She also gives pretty good feedback on your speeches, if you need improvement or not.

Prof Cano was an excellent teacher for speech 10. She gives a very clear criteria for the speeches she's grading, and the class is really fun and engaging. I had her during summer quarter so it was a little rushed in terms of course work, but as long as you follow directions exactly it's impossible to fail. I would def take her class again

Sometimes Mrs. Cano could be all over the place but just ask for clarification and you will be fine. If y aren't the greatest speaker, its ok, shes very understanding! She has participation points so don't skip class. You have to put effort into making your speeches but what speech class doesn't require you to do that.. Work for ur grade. Not hard

I loved this class, and ended up taking Speech 10 with her as well. The grading is pretty lax because most students aren't great at public speaking (that's why we take the class, right?). As long as you follow her guidelines, you will get better at it though! I appreciate her advice and guarantee it is going to help me in the future.

Cano is the best teacher in campus . She is very easy grader and her work and speeches are not hard at all . If your shy to speak in public no problem ! I did really bad in my speeches and still managed to pass the class with an A ! She is not boring and very clear in lectures ! Take her you won't regret it !

She is awesome. I have taken two of her classes to help boost my public speaking skills. I really appreciate the feedback she provided on what was good and what areas I should work on. Would definitely recommend her for people who need a confidence boost with public speaking skills.

Professor Cano is AWESOME. She'll really raise you confidence in public speaking. Not a hard class at all, she tells you exactly what she's looking for. Really helpful and nice too. Her lectures are really clear and she gives clear examples of everything.

Professor Cano is phenomenal! Everything she lectures on is easy to understand because she is a fantastic speaker. If you show up, and do the assigned work, it's not hard to get an A in the class. If you are scarednervous about public speaking, her class is the one to choose if you want to overcome this. I HIGHLY recommend this professor!

ROYCE CANO IS A GREAT PERSON. THE BEST INSTRUCTOR THAT DE ANZA HAS TO OFFER. SHE IS HELPFUL AND CARING. She was able to help me finally pass Speech 001 despite that I've failed it with 2 different instructors. PLEASE DO NOT USE TECHNOLOGY AND IPHONES DURING CLASS because it offends her and makes her sad. THANK YOU ROYCE

She was an amazing professor! She is completely aware that every student's comfort level in the class and speaking ability is different. When she grades your speeches, she gives you a small list of requirements and if you fulfill them she gives you the points. Final is super easy as long as you put in a teeensy bit of effort beforehand.

I really enjoyed her class. She made it a good experience for me because I was terrified about taking a speech class. You do need to dedicate some time for this class though. Her assignments are reasonable but not extremely complicated. She is very nice and a companionate grader.

Teacher is super easy did half the home work 60% and got an A on every speech, and mid term and final i studied for 1 day in advance. Only thing you have to do is make sure that every part of your speech is there and you got an A. I was 16 in this class and this is the first class i took.

I dreaded this class but surprisingly it wasn't bad. She lets you choose your speech topics. I took a 1x a week class and time flies. Before you know it, you're on your last speech! The exams are super easy, you just need to memorize definitions. Hw instructions were unclear but just write something. I got full points every time. Super easy class!
