Interesting class. She doesn't do much teaching herself. She has a lot of guest speakers which are fun, & there are group pres. for the majority of the semester (which are annoying but overall easy). 3 multiple choice tests, 1 media reaction paper, 1 research paper w/ group pres., & 1 self-reflection paper. Read chapters, can still do okay w/o it.

Very nice teacher. Attendance is mandatory. Grades from exams and papers are outlined clearly and easy to do. She also goes over possible exam questions the day before and gives the answer, you just have to pay attention :) . Guest speakers are really great, group presentations can get boring.

Herron is GREAT!! She doesn't use the book a lot, but the tests are easy. She's very helpful and kind. Speakers are very interesting, and the class is awesome. Yes attendance is mandatory but she does her best to make class fun. I HIGHLY suggest taking this class with S. Herron.

Professor Herron is a sweet lady but does not lecture. You actually learn more from her guest speakers and videos. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY. Grading is based on a presentation 1 4pg paper, 1 6pg paper, a 10pg research paper, 2 midterms, and 1 final exam. I urge you to split up the study guide with other classmates; it makes it much easier to study!

The course offers interesting and valuable topics. However, the professor does not teach the context from the textbook and the questions on exams are difficult because most of them are not from the textbook. Interesting class but if you're shooting for an easy A- not gonna happen. Easy C but work for B, sexuality majors maybe A.

Great teacher! I learned so much and the professor keeps the classes interesting by having guest speakers and demonstrations, so it's not all lectures and taking notes.

She's a sweet woman but not a good teacher. If you are a structured student who cares about an A, you will be left irritated and frustrated. She doesn't really teach her classes. She uses videos, overheads and guest speakers. When questioned about papers or what she expects in presentations she is vague, distracted and all over the place, o

this professor barely teaches. her overheads are hard to read, she doesn't go over the study guide or the book. her study guides are from the book but you're not going to find 90% of the questions. dont take this class if you dont wanna be confused and study your butt off

She's kind of boring & doesn't teach much. You basically have to teach yourself the material from the book. However, the guest speakers are great and make this class worth going to. There are 3 papers (1 is 10pgs), 3 tests (100 questions each),& a group proj. It's not a hard class by any means, but you have to show up & do the work.

She is a nice lady, but makes this class a bit harder than it should be. The guest speakers are wonderful, but she hardly teaches. She does walk you through some of the stuff, but she is a tough grader on the papers. A 45 min group project is not too bad. Take someone else if you don't want to do much work, but it won't be as interesting.

DO NOT TAKE ! STAY AWAY ! She gives so much work that you cnt even enjoy the material your learning ! She does not teach either, the students & guest speakers do her job. she does not cover a lot of the material thats on the test! Three 100 question test, 4 papers ea minimum 6 pgs. Shes very technical when she grades.

Interesting class but she tested on a lot of material she never covered in class. Most of the semester is made up of group presentations. If you are good at teaching yourself and are pretty good at taking tests then you will do fine.

Herron is a sweet woman. 3 tests, 3 papers, and a group project. You'll learn alot in human sexuality and she grades the papers pretty easy. Go to class, take notes, study and it's an easy A. The book isn't necessary if you take the online textbook pretests. Easy and fun class. Good, knowledgable professor

I really enjoyed her class. There were excellent guest speakers and she led the class through some interesting open discussions. It was nice to see the opinions of so many diverse students. I think some students just expected to show up and receive an A grade. I earned mine!
