Sam was pretty laid back and told some wonderful stories. He was also accepting of my opinion, even if I disagreed with him. The class is somewhat challenging but is easily an A-B class if you try some.

He makes a 100 level class a lot harder than what it has to be. At the same time he explains himself and what is expected of you. If you go in for help he gives you the world. I learned a lot from him and I think it helped me a lot in 105

Great guy, fun class, he sees things just a little bit differently than other people, which makes it hard to address his suggestions (i.e., by doing so, no one else will understand what you've done, but Sam'll get it). Super nice guy though.

ok true, he is very vague, and he goes off on tangents all the time, but as long as you take the time to talk to him outside of class about your paper, or improving your grade, you WILL get a good grade... don't be afraid to talk to him

Disliked him very much. He got way off subject in class and lost me completely. Most of the time I had no idea what he was talking about and didn't know what he wanted or expected on a paper. It was real hard to get a good grade because of his unclarity.
