I've had Dr. Hare for three classes now and I really love her. She's knowledgeable, passionate, and made me LOVE research when I didn't like it previously. I highly recommend her for Social Research and any other classes.

Don't take this class. At first it looks like a nice filler class to get that easy A, until you realize 75% of your grade comes from 3 tests. The tests are terrible. I have a 3.8 GPA so this isn't a whiny slacker complaining. The tests had weird trick questions on them. Just Weird. The other 25% of your grade will come from being bored.

I took Social Movements online and I was completely blown away. Such a great course and was well organized by the professor. She always have great feedback and wanted her students to succeed. There was a large workload for the course but as long as you did the work, you got an A.

She is a nice person and a REALLY bad professor. She is unclear about class requirements and gives impossible assignments with no help. I switched my major to criminal justice after taking this class. The whole sociology program is a complete joke.

I didn't care for sociology until I took Professor Hare's class! I've taken her twice now, and I have enjoyed it every time. She is interesting, enthusiastic and explains exactly what she expects from you. Oh, and on the test, she gives essay questions, and lets you use your notes, which she provides all the answers to! She's GREAT!
