AWFUL! Teacher never responded to questions and on the rare occasion that she did, she didn't offer any further instruction where it was needed. Grades were given very late, but were fair. I wouldn't suggest this instructor

Late grading and subjective suggestions did not help for next project. Grading was not clear and did not return papers with specific explanations of why grades were poor. Answered emails late. Don't take her!

Class was pretty boring. Teacher just left us to read the book and participate in class discussion, answering a single question for each section (total of 4 questions). Teacher barely participated if at all in discussions and assignments were always VERY LATE. Overall a pretty big disappointment.

Others nailed it: Professor has potential, but does only the mininum: participates in discussions sporadically; discussion comments tossed off and do not foster deeper thinking; expects kitchen sink in papers and returns them late.

She did not participate in discussions, was slow on returning assignments, and slow on answering private folder questions. She grades fair, but the assignments were more time consuming than most lower-level courses. The discussion subjects were uninspiring and didn’t facilitate good conversation, the most disappointing factor of the course.

Comment:

Kind of late on grading, late answering questions, didn't really participate in discussions. However, she gave unique assignments that made the course material more accessible and more interesting. She is strict on grading, but as long as you follow directions, you should be fine.

It's history and usually not that exciting to begin with. She was fair and responded appropriately. I only gave a 2 for easy because the essays are demanding; she is looking for all aspects to be answered that was stated in the questions.

I had Prof. Young twice. Her classes were great. She would get back to you reasonably. Grading takes time because written assignments require time to read and evaluate. She was fair, clear and understanding. I'd recommend her classes.

She has the makings of a great professor--it is right at her fingertips yet she stumbles at the end. She is encouraging and very intelligent but inconsistent and very late returning assignments. She also lags when answering questions. She is still okay
